Cant beleive their isnt a thread on him!

Played out of skin tonight. He isnt the quickest and hasnt been the best player since we signed him but i thought against Blackburn when he came on he played really well and tonight he was our best player.

He was, and is, very good and I doubt he will be any trouble when he is dropped for the Villa game.

Gareth Barry is class, he isnt fast but he doesnt need to be as he reads the game so well. He does the simple things very well, doesnt need to do fancy tricks and skills etc.

His passing was excellent tonight, a lot better than it was last season. One of the criticisms people have of him is that he just wins the ball back and gives it to the more skilful players to use, well tonight he used it very well.

He wins more second balls than anyone in our team and is surprisingly strong. It seems his injury was holding him back last season; he looks lighter on his feet now; he's not exactly quick but he looked like he had lead boots on at times last year.

One of two mistakes Berto made on Saturday was not playing Gaz Baz, he changed the game as soon as he came on.

As for tonight, I'm not sure as I'm waiting for the highlights on itv4.
