its an indictment of our society that patience is no longer a virtue
Gareth and Kolo wouldnt be at our club if the powers that be took a blind bit of notice of the 'i want it now' muppets/children who profess to be blues

This is what I was just about to post, so I'll just agree with yours instead.
Like many of us I admit to having doubts about him after the 2nd half of last season, but He's been fantastic for us up to now and if his current form continues through the season he may well get the award.
Gareth Barry oozes class- when you read a game as well as he does you do not need blinding pace. His work goes unnoticed and he is sorely missed when he's not there- as was the case before he came on on Saturday!! He also has versatilty- an absolutely supreme purchase and cheap too! Great player no doubt and far too unsung as well.
well mr. capello seems to see something in barry. he always picks him. he is much better than some on here seem to think. he does his job. no he is not fast but not everybody in a team has to be able to be a world class sprinter. one of the best i am sorry to say in the old days was paddy crerand. yeah i know what a tosser he is but as a player despite being possibly the slowest going around even then he was unfortunatly a class player and such a brilliant passer of the ball. i don't actually remember beckenbauer or bobby moore being olympic class sprinters either but they were not too bad were they?. not saying gaz is in their class but every succesful team needs a player like him.

I also thought he had a great game - I wasn't his biggest fan last year but his performances this year have improved and I'm starting to rate him.

Its always the same with Barry though, hes never the player in the spot light.
He knows what he has to do and does it well every game. I expected Barry to be our captain this season, I'm quite surprised he's not.
