Gareth Taylor

I'd refer him to the Brighton game! And I would refer the ref in the home game v CFC to the FA! Oh, the FA gave her a week's ban!! That's alright then!
She should have been banned from officiating in any game involving either us or Chelsea for a season for that performance. It was beyond crap.

So the club should let her go join a rival who is two points ahead of us right now? Seems logical.

I sympathize with her efforts to get into the Euros squad but it doesn't make sense to do a deal with United given we're directly competing with them. Not sure it's a great reflection on Taylor either.

As good a player Chloe has been I think her career with City ended when last year Bunny got injured and we needed her to step up and show her class. She didn't and was largely ineffective in the last few games & many thought her head was turned by PSG or Barca - Just a goal or two would have probably won us the title.

My issue with the club is that this should have been resolved in the summer as we brought in younger players who represent the future. We could even have got a decent fee for her. Best for all for her to move on with one eye on the euros - doesn't matter to me who she goes to.

Thanks for some great moments but now we have Kerolin, Mary and Aoba I think we're covered. As for GT I'm still not convinced he will take us to winning major titles..

Kelly has lived off that Euros winner for the past 18 months whilst looking distinctly average on the field - and that's being kind. Was anonymous at the business end of last season when she was really needed. Hasn't progressed as a player and seems more intent on her profile outside the game, than improving her play on the field.

I'd be happy to let her go anywhere but Utd tbh - loan her to Brighton if that works, Chelsea, Arsenal, overseas - basically anywhere, but not Utd.

In the summer she can then do what she wants. I get she has a beef with Taylor - many of us do - but the club did also support her, rehabilitate her knee and pay her whilst she was out for 12 months with an ACL too. Let's hope she remembers that as she inevitably departs

Boohoo I'm not allowed to join my employers direct rivals. In other businesses, esepcially where the employees are the assets, you find non-compete clauses are common place to stop this exact thing. It isn't unique to football and she's not being harshly treated. It's entirely reasonable that your employer isn't willing to allow you to join their direct rival. Should be fined for the hissy fit and told to get on with it.

Apparently we have two offers for her, United and Brighton; the club would only allow the Brighton move.
If she is that bothered about getting game time so she can make the euros, then she should go to Brighton and then negotiate as a free agent in the summer. But I guess she'd rather sign the full deal now, and not have to move down south and have the uncertainty (and risk) of not having a contract when July comes
I can understand she wanting to leave considering the circumstances, but the club is in the right here not allowing her to go to a direct rival
We'll find out what her preferences are shortly, as the market closes on Thursday night

Was it in her contract to pay her whilst she was out injured? It probably was in there if she's injured playing for City, or she has a crap agent. To me, why would she thank the club for doing something they are legally required to do? Should Kev thank them for paying him when he was injured? Is Rodri required to thank them now?

Of course they supported her while she was rehabbing her knee. She was essentially City's property. They bought her. She was an investment and it would make zero sense to have the club show her door because she was injured. They may as well burn money in the fireplace.

Honest question, if you think she isn't a good player, why do you care where she goes? I don't like United either but if you think she's no good you should be happy if she goes there, no?

If you don't agree with what she said, fine. However, don't say things that may you look like a fool because you don't like what she said. I assume you are smarter than that. That said, some people do have a saying about those "assume" though, don't they?

I'd like her to go to Brighton, also. Brighton have a good team this year and are playing well. If she's fussed about wanting to play, and I don't blame her, the ragettes seem to have plenty of attacking players.

If I was to bet in it, she wants to stay in the area because of her new husband. He's a red dipper and works for their grounds crew.

She may well get fined.

As she should. Very unprofessional comments. Also just very stupid comments. not exactly the kind of comments that are likely to see city back down from their stance. I'd imagine they'd be more likely to make her sit in the stands for 6 months than bow to her desires after that.

Other way around it wouldn't happen we are one soft club

I feel like I really need to know the facts on the Chloe Kelly thing before drawing a conclusion.

If she has an offer of two clubs and she's trying to force the move to a direct rival then that's entirely unreasonable. Would be really disappointing for her to have made that post in those circumstances as she's always seemed a pretty sound person.

If it were to transpire that City were blocking any move at all when lower table sides were willing to give her minutes then I think that's bad management of the player and needlessly harsh on someone just trying to get their career on track.

Let's see what Taylor says in his press conference. Given the number of players who have responded to her post I think the story is pretty much out there so it's probably for the best that City give their side.
