Garry Cook is attempting to make the Saudi Pro League relevant. LIV football?

The Middle East is the future. Have you seen Dubai and Doha? Have you seen what Riyad is going to be like in the coming years?

That is where footballers are going to want to live in the coming decades, unfortunately, not Manchester Newcastle and London.

I can imagine that there’ll be a Super League over there and by the 2040s-50s will be the top football competition in the world. And European and Premier League football will be old fashioned and run down.
The Middle East is surely going to be inhospitable if climate change projections are real. The whole region will need air conditioning and ice boxes, which adds to the overall problem.

Mehh. 20/30 years is a long-time but I am not sure they can counter the cultural aspects that make European football, especially the PL, so attractive. I don't really care, I will be dead (I barely survived the match at the weekend), but I don't think European football has too much to worry about.

Will be interesting to see how FIFA/UEFA react to this, though.

Never been to Doha and it's only my opinion but Dubai is hideous, tacky horrible place
