We don't want a blue as CEO. We want a business man with a passion for success not emotionally tied. It is the fans job to act with irrational emotion about the club they love and it is the boss’s job to be passionate about success.

Remember the great job Franny Lee did?

I think Cook is a loss to the club, he made a mistake that most people have done in sending the e-mail and a bigger one in denying it.

The next bloke will do an even better job, as long as he is not a fan.

I dont' care one jot whether he's a fan or not.

I just care that he's the best CEO on the market. And I'd prefer it if he didn't talk in corporate bullshit cliches all the time, but that's a personal thing.

DD the new CEO will have a blank canvas, blue sky scenario...lets see what he runs up the flag pole and see who salutes..

Re: Garry Cook resigns

Un-fucking believable!!!! Just when things were shaping up so nicely for us Kia Joorabchian delivers the killer bullet to Garry Cook his main MCFC adversary during the slow-news international break and manages to wobble the club again just like he did with the Tevez affair!!!

Cook is a knob for sending anything that could be construed as a disciplinary matter by email and should have said these things in private. It still doesn't excuse the reference to 'being ravaged with it', but to be honest, and just like a lot of people on here have pointed out, I really couldn't see what was such a sackable offence in the email that I read. Cook's biggest mistake was to lie about sending the email thus forcing MCFC into having to conduct a massive IT investigation.

If I was in Cook's position, I would have held my hands up immediately and admitted that I'd sent the email in a fit of pique and then I would have rode out the storm purely based on the contents of the email thus not having to face the more serious allegations of lying to everyone including his employers which IS a sackable offence.

Hopefully the next incumbent will be a lot more IT savvy than our now ex CEO..... Gutted, seriously gutted!!! Nedum's position at the club will become untenable after this and what we should all now do is start a destructive campaign of our own against the REAL cancer in all of this........... Kia Joorabchian!!!!

I just want a CEO who's awesome to the max.

You mean who can identify the low hanging fruit with some blue sky thinking? Who can move the club forward by thinking outside the box? Who can identify and penetrate new markets as part of his vision?

Nope. Can't think of anyone.

I don't understand all the hate against Onuhoa, the Sun ecc. Cook put himself in this situation; he's the only one to blame.

He picked up on the "ravaged" comment and ran stupidly with it. If it hadn't been written that way, this wouldn't have happened.

Dr. Mommie Dearest held onto her rage for 10-11 mos for the perfect moment. She pretty much sacrificed her son for $$. If it was with Ned's consent, he has balls showing up and thinking he'd be welcomed with open arms by fans. Maybe Mancini's hands are no longer tied so I'd be surprised if Ned still rates being on the team (Bobby didn't rate him before right?)

As for the press, it's business as usual. Wright probably thought he won the lottery.

There are no winners, not Garry, not Ned, nor his mother. Garry did the only thing he could do, so I give him my thanks for everything he did and had to do today.

And as for the press who cares, they'll share in my contempt.

Can Bernstein do the FA job and be CEO at city? Imagine the rags, the sun and sky sports squirming in their seats at this one!!!

I hope so mate, it was Bernsteins hard work that got us the coms move, which in turn made us attractive to our current owners.

Bernstein was perfect for the time he was here. A steady hand on the tiller.

But at this point in time we need someone with a little more commercial flair.

Having said that I would rather we appointed Gerald Ratner than Peter Kenyon.

Re: Garry Cook resigns

To all those happy to see him gone be careful what you wish for sometimes its the devil you know than the devil you don't !!!!!

I just want to say that since he has been CEO we the fans have been looked after really well by the club. They have tried to introduce new things some have been very successful so not so but at least the club have tried to keep us at the heart of things.

I just hope his successor is equally determined to make sure that is the case

its sheikh mansoor who put us on the map not that prick cook!

still not forgotten his manchester united comment!

but thats just my opinion!

I agree. I can't believe the support for Cook here. The owners seemed to be looking for a way to get rid of him because of his continual cringeing, embarrassing faupas' for which he was on a final warning.

This was just yet another example. Even IF the email wasn't intended, the thoughts expressed were at best insensitive, at worst downright cruel. You can't blame The Sun - fact is he DID write it. Its not a witch hunt. There's no hidden Man Utd spies or bias. And whoever wrote that Nedum was now to be persecuted and ostrisized is a complete fool.

This is a real bonus as far as Im concerned, as we now have the chance to bring in someone to take us up to the next level - and Im sure we will.

Personally I've never liked Apple's email browser for their iPad, I bet Cookie fuckin’ hates it.
