It's not the end of the world. There must be shed loads of really good potential candidates out there and hopefully one that doesn't make as many gaffs as GC.
Hopefully the club will quietly move on and quietly sell Nedum in the next transfer window.

When all has been said and done, whatever the ins and outs of Kia and Wright and Dr O, Garry Cook was always an accident waiting to happen. He's just that kind of bloke, clearly brilliant in some ways,you don't get the jobs he's had by being crap, but perversely he's a complete prat at the same time. Making brilliant commercial moves one minute, forgetting the name of his employer the next.

his legacy was to sign up the sheik when (frank) taksin did a runner -
he got rid of alistair mcintosh who wouldnt spend to accumulate
he got rid of hughes who didnt attract the players we needed

he has put forward an excellent brand strategy in conjunction with abu dhabi which encompasses massive investment off the pitch both locally and worldwide
he has worked with marwood to bring in the best talent for mancini

for all those things we owe him a great debt and we will reap the rewards for years to come

We are generally the most talked about club in the world, and any press is good press as they say. He did a good job, but had a few stinkers on the way.

Ok my thoughts on Garry resignation, I'm not happy about the way its happened. The whole Sun newspaper crap and neds mum thing was really bad. I'm am glad though Garry Cook has gone.

I'm sure he's a brilliant businessman but from all his clangers he's dropped I don't think he was suited to a role at city. Its just to high a profile a job and the media were constantly ready to tear him apart for anything and everything. And the man just didn't have the PR skills to be able to handle the constant onslaught from the scum in the media.
