As the title says. The guy did some sterling work for City but what would you say are his finest achievements?

When all has been said and done, whatever the ins and outs of Kia and Wright and Dr O, Garry Cook was always an accident waiting to happen. He's just that kind of bloke, clearly brilliant in some ways, you don't get the jobs he's had by being crap, but perversely he's a complete prat at the same time. Making brilliant commercial moves one minute, forgetting the name of his employer the next.

We move on.

Fair enough, I would say get a proper blue as the next CEO someone who can keep his eye on the ball and remember that MCFC is the most important thing. There must some competent executives who would jump at the chance I know I would if I had the qualifications.

I hope the club have sacked him for reasons other than that e-mail. Otherwise we're in trouble....

Cook offered his resignation; the club accepted.
Fair enough. I hope his RESIGNATION was accepted for the right reasons and not solely because of this e-mail.

I wasn't being pedantic. I assumed that with the 'otherwise we're in trouble comment' you was intimating that Cook could possibly take umbridge with the club and pursue a case of wrongful dismissal or try to drag the club through the dirt etc.

Did you mean that the club shouldn't have caved in to bad press/Dr Death (if the email was the sole concern) and rejected his resignation?

his legacy was to sign up the sheik when (frank) taksin did a runner -
he got rid of alistair mcintosh who wouldnt spend to accumulate
he got rid of hughes who didnt attract the players we needed
==================
he has put forward an excellent brand strategy in conjunction with abu dhabi which encompasses massive investment off the pitch both locally and worldwide
he has worked with marwood to bring in the best talent for mancini

for all those things we owe him a great debt and we will reap the rewards for years to come

Tony C

Cook appointed Hughes and Macintosh had already gone.

Thaksin sold the club and was still had a position of sorts on the board after the second takeover, and so did not do a runner.

Cook had nothing to do with getting the Siekhs what so ever. If memory serves me right there was deal maker some female ex accountant who set the whole deal up. They found us Cook was Franks employee who came with the furniture.

sad to see him go

thanks Garry for everything you've done in MCFC ! :)
