He's happy to call out Mike Dean for his incompetence, yet doesn't want to risk upsetting the real culprits - those players that continually try to deceive the officials with their simulation (which is still an offence under the Laws of the Game, incidentally).
Regarding Foden, why even put him in his team, if he's then going to point out that there are three better players than him in the England pecking order, and then add that Foden only looks good because of the better players around him!
The guy is a pompous fool. I can't understand how he has survived the numerous staff reorganisations within the BBC, unless they tolerate him because his fee is so low.
