A bit of context please.... we all know, things at City never go smoothly. never without a fuck up when things appear to be rosy.
But for anyone screaming blue murder and ready to get a lynch mob together, just ask yourself what's important, what's REALLY important for City at the moment.
He's been a huge part in shaping a City that we can all be proud of. We're finally going in the right direction with a promising future - stability is a key frikking ingredient to success, not just quids that's for sure.
Actions speak louder than words people - and if we're ready to jeopardise the stability and direction of the Club at the moment, for one word - a word that will become increasingly insignificant as time goes on, then fuck me god help us all.
A bit of shit is bound to hit the fan, but people will calm the fuck down eventually.
Meanwhile.... Garry Cooke will carry on making City a better Club for all of us.
Maybe we will one day find it within ourselves to take the piss out of him for it, rather than scream for blood like a bunch of morons...

Has anyone seen this mentioned anywhere else apart from here, (I don't mean other City sites I'm talking news sites and other such) because I have been looking and can't seem to find it mentioned anywhere.
It's not really that much of a big deal is it though. If you look in your heart of hearts do you honestly give a shit or are we using this as another excuse to have a piss and moan about City because we don't have a legitimate reason to anymore.

A nice puff piece in the Daily Mail or something this week could ease a lot of the upset amongst blues on this.
Give him a chance to talk about it, express his horror and regret and we all should move on from there.
I think it's a touch naive to think that this is just a slip of the tongue that should be ignored, neither is it (on it's own) a sackable offence.
And personally I don't care if he's a blue, a rag or a brummie. He's got to represent the club that pays his wages, and at the moment theres way too many gaffes for my liking. I'm sure that will be managed in the future, and I'm 100% sure he won't make the same mistake as last night again. If he does he deserves shooting.

I've had a think on this, and changed my mind. This whole incident was bollocks and people calling for levity need some perspective themselves.
Put it this way: We want to be a top 4, European club. Has David Gill ever dropped a clanger? Or Rick Parry? Or David Dein? Or Ron Gourlay?
Cook has dropped three (of notice) from what I can think of. The golf thing about Sinatra made him look like a complete tit, and is still often quoted. Same with the Milan 'bottled it', which is still heavily remembered. This is looking like it will be the third, as the rags are already starting and it hasn't even being 24 hours yet.
I'm certainly not saying that he should go, but I am absolutely appalled that he hasn't issued a statement apologising to Rosler and to the City fans. It doesn't have to be a deepest condolences thing, even laughing it off would be fine. Just admit that you have made a mistake, you dope.

Reading some of the replies on this thread (and to be honest they are mostly from the usual suspects) it does give me the impression that some of our so called support really do need to get out more, even by the usual standard of hysterics we have witnessed of late on here this thread really does go beyond the pale.
