The fact that some on here are calling for our CEO's head on the basis of a gaffe are demonstrating idiocy of the highest order.

Everything at this club commercially has improved since Cook took over - the internals of the ground, the infrastructure and the communications from the club - absolutely everything. There is still things to address but it's all moving in the right direction.

It's small minded to think we will find the best CEO who is died in the wool blue. I don't give a f*ck about whether they were City from birth but do they know how to grow a brand and a business and f*ck this guy knows how to do that !

He grew the Nike Jordan brand from nothing to one of the biggest in the world.

Wtf did Kenyon know about football when he ran Umbro !!?? They set the manager targets and if he doesn't meet them his job is under threat - quite simple really. A football club is a business and fortunately we are lucky to have Gary Cook at the helm an awesome businessman.

I've also been fortunate to meet Gary in person and he spoke passionately about the club and he has absolutely caught the MCFC bug. He admits to being a Brum fan in his youth but said he went back there with City and felt nothing.

Those who heckled should hang their heads in shame, thank god they are not largely representative of our club.

We are the luckiest club in world football.

Every team in every counrty across the whole world envies our financial situation.

Yet the two most important jobs in the club were filled by an incompetant.

Theres debate with a number of posters, however, people on both sides are unable to see the opposing view. Imo, people like moomba (i don't mean to single him out here, i've no grudge against him or anything); who are in every single Hughes thread saying the same thing over and over again.

Forgive me for sharing my opinion on a football discussion board (I know that's unacceptable behaviour nowadays according to some).

Funny thing is, you say that I can't see the opposing view, it's fairly obvious that you don't actually know what my view on keeping Hughes at the club is.

Fuck me people are being VERY OTT!

Ok, Cook made a balls-up and that wasn't top of our wish-list but he is only human, had somethig to drink and will moe than likely take a bit of banter. People who think he should lose his job are VERY short sighted and are being quick to remember the progress he has seemingly kickstarted at the club. Anyone who reckons they know enough to argue he has done nothing is talking crap. Cooke has helped us in all areas of the club and to sack him over this would be absolutely ridiculous. People need to put down what their smoking and put things into perspective.

NB: If he goes I have to make a new fucking username!

May I take you all back 10 years... we are in division 2 fighting for promotion playing away at Port Vale. If someone told you 'you will be the richest club in the world in 10 years, with a new stadium with a board who appreciate and welcome your opinions... after Novemebr you are 6th in the Premier League and on target for a top 4 finish having just secured 2 huge big money sponsorship deals. However a vast majority of the fans will moaning about Football and the running of the club.' Wonder what you would have said back then?

Well I would have said... 'Ungrateful! They don't know how lucky they are.'

Funnily enough i'm still of that opinion!

This is the small club metality Robbie was talking about.

We were in that postion 10 years ago due the levels of incompitance akin to those supposedly shown by GC tonight.

I don't sit here looking back 10 years with a warm glow saying look how far we've come. I sit here looking how far we need to go in the expectancy that trophies will be delivered. I do not accept incompitance at out club at any level.

Sound ruthless?..Rag like, even? Maybe. Unfortunately, they are the benchmark and this circus act does not happen there. It is simply not acceptable that it happens here.

Just got in, looked on BM whilst Pornhub was buffering and was embarrassed to see such a fucking calamity.
I wasn't going to log in but this post was very good and more importantly fair (despite the spelling).
Can we not have the money and potential for great things without having to excuse any fuckups like tonight. I was repulsed by his comments. No-one has responded to the Adidas analogy. Cook is here to raise the profile of Manchester CITY not United, and this is to be accomplished with propriety. Once again, we will be the laughing stock of Greater Manchester and the Press. Well done dickhead.

Also disappointed with the lack of decorum during Uwe's speech.

Sven did exactly the same thing in the garrido press conference when he was translating. 'Its an honour to play for Manchester United'. I didn't see anyone going up in arms over that. How is this any different. Get behind the fucking club you bunch of morons and stop looking to jump on someone's back every 5 minutes!
