I hope redcafe don't see this thread. All it's done is confirm the accuracy of what they have called us for years. Bitter.

I'm as blue as they come, and see this as nothing more than an honest mistake. A very stupid one granted.

Bit OTT. Why would you care who saw it, its hardly a big deal. We didn't need this thread to know the City fans on here are, well... diverse in their thinkings.

Utd can never call us bitter; as the majority of our fans have a connection to Manchester, it would be easy to any one of us to claim to support them; and even easier for City fans who perhaps aren't so local.

Fact is, we chose to support City, regardless of Utd, they've got banners about us in their ground and sing songs about us in CL finals... Doesn't take a genius to work out the "bitters".

I don't mind Cookie. I don't think he's a business genius as some seem to believe but he seems reasonably competent. However irrespective of whether this latest gaffe is true or not (can't be arsed to wade through 30 odd pages) I did say pretty much from day 1 that he should not be allowed anywhere near microphones or speak to the press because he is a walking gaffe machine.

From his comments about Hughes early on to the NFL model for the PL to his comments when the Kaka deal went south (which to be fair even Cookie admits he was an idiot to say what he said) or City being the global entertainers like the Harlem Globetrotters (or some such bollocks) it is clear that Cookie should not be allowed to speak in public.

Harsh but fair.

I also think the club and the fans whilst privately admitting to ourselves 'Gary you prize tit' should for public consumption laugh it off; give Gary a bit of affectionate, gentle ribbing and let it lie

Apparently Gary Cook has just welcomed Uwe Rosler into the manchester United Hall of Fame. Everyone is going mad. the end of Gary fuck. the stupid Rag twat.

This sounds to me like Cook has too many sherberts and got tongue-tied, which anyone who's had to do public speaking will understand.

The reaction to this on here though has absolutely shocked me - i thought city fans had the greatest sense of humour of all clubs. I thought we could laugh at ourselves. Is this not a moment to laugh at? 10 years ago no-one would have accidentally called us Utd cos we were in a different world to them. Now we're competing for 4th and we're accidentally being called Utd? I take that as a compliment of our current success. The more successful we are, the more this may happen. Admittedly i didnt expect it to start with our own CEO but never mind, shit happens.

Unfortunately the rags name is now a worldwide brand. The better we do and the higher up the table we are, the more likely it is that people will get confused because where they are used to saying "utd in the top 4" they are going to have to learn how to say "city are in the top 4".

I think this is a good problem for us to have to live with.

What i'm most pissed off about, is that our own fans booed during an Uwe Rosler speech. Disrespectful pricks.

My dad was there he said it was bad. he said it was a great night up until that point where it all went tits up, I think a few blues had to be escorted out of the place cos they were going off their heads
