Gas & Electricity

Pretty much same for me too..Heating at morning 8 and at evening 8. This makes the room bearable for 2hrs after 8. Otherwise I am wrapped in 3 layers with 2 sets of socks..deary me can't wait for this frozen period to end..Atleast 5-6 degree Celsius outside would life easier.
Should be warmer by sunday , be nice to get back to normal ish

It is about pride , i have been assessed so many times and have to tell them every health condition and i am worn down by it , they sap all your pride out of you the benefits system , i just cant open up my paltry private bank stuff as well, i just cant
Sending you best wishes and hopefully you get something sorted .

Should not be happening to people . Sod’s law we are having an extremely cold winter . When it’s going up ridiculously. I am sat here typing this with three layers and a fleecy poncho on . Waiting till 4.30 pm when I can put the heating on for my 4hrs a day budget . It’s miserable
Yep, this is grim. Suppliers are making a fucking mint on this and setting the prices. It is a scandal that the govt are allowing it to happen. This is no way to live

Spot on.
I have been helping family members with PIP applications for years.
It’s dehumanising and deliberately designed to put you off applying in the first place. A 40 page application for fucks sake!
I enjoy going to the interview though with people and sitting there writing everything down that is said. Doesn’t half put the willys up the unqualified twonk doing the interview.

The last one was done at home , i always insist on that, by an ex paramedic , she wrote everything down and wanted me to sign it but i refused to unless i read it all which she refused so we had a bit of a stand off , got approved though

They write down their first impression of you , your demour and body language and that is just the start of the hr and half long grilling , some questions are so stupid they are unanswerable but you have to say something , people think being on disability benefits is a fucking picnic

My wife is on PIP and since I do all the paperwork I know where you're coming from Kaz. It can feel soul destroying when they go through one of their 'lets start from scratch and you fill everything in again' routines. I hate it to high heaven but it's better than freezing to death.

That last bit is true enough , i wont be freezing to death though , heat the person not the room is good advice . Will see what happens to my dd when i put my readings in on sunday , might have a heart attack though, lol
