£132 for this month both gas & electricity from £167 last month,probably just daylight saving on lights etc

Last month I had my largest bill so far since I bought my house, was around £250 for gas and elec. In the past month we made more of an effort on the "gas" side of things in terms of heating etc and the bill has just come in at £150 which is more palatable. Hopefully as the weather picks up we can get this a bit lower but otherwise probably just where we are with the cost of things at the minute.

It’s a national disgrace that certain parties are overseeing as huge companies literally money grab.

This is deliberately misleading, as the wholesale element of the price OFGEM cap is an average figure taken over the previous quarter, and although gas prices did nearly reach £8 per therm last August, the relevant average for that period was closer to £3.

Suggesting an eightfold decline is therefore false and, again, misleading. I believe the OFGEM price announcement is due on 26 May, so it looks like he got that part wrong as well.
