Gas heating doesn't use electricity so you must be seeing increased usage elsewhere. Do you have a smart meter to monitor usage at certain times? Our daily electricity usage is around 8kWh but we do have solar panels which cover my daytime usage working from home. This months electricity bill up by 100 quid despite no heating on at all and only taking showers.
No gas at all. No hot tubs or aircon or fans. No tumble drier or dishwasher. Cups of tea, guilty.Gas heating doesn't use electricity so you must be seeing increased usage elsewhere. If you can reduce your usage by finding where it gets used then it does make a big difference. The worst offenders are anything that heats anything, for example the kettle, dishwasher, hot tubs etc.
Just sticking the dishwasher or washing machine on a lower temperature could save you £££. A kettle costs around 5-10p per boil, it doesn't sound a lot but if you have several brews everyday then it's costing you a lot more than you think.
Some people also still use tumble-dryers which is mental in this weather when you can literally dry your clothes outside for free.
Can you see any wires going from your meter cupboard into next door?No gas at all. No hot tubs or aircon or fans. No tumble drier or dishwasher. Cups of tea, guilty.
