Anyone had any experience of getting a refund off EDF? I’ve had a bill through saying I’m £1100 in credit, they’re charging me 300 a month and my predicted bill for the next year is £2800. Surely all of that credit should be refunded given my monthly payments easily cover the usage for the next year?! That or reduce my payments, they haven’t suggested either.

Ask for it back it’s your money.

We just had an email through from eon.next saying our bill is going up to 124 a month. We was paying 100 a month after coming out of our original tariff which went up to 218 quid. The tariffs they was offering was at 160/180 per month so I just let it ride being on 100.

Will let this go a couple of months and see what happens.

Martin lewis says you only need to be in credit to the amount you pay for two months only , i am with edf , if you ask for some back or a decrease in your dd they usually do it , it is your money

A few weeks ago we finally agreed to get an electricity smart meter fitted, as our meter is forty years old. the guy came and said our meter’s code doesn’t correspond with their records, so there is a risk that if we switch to a Smart meter, we will still get standing charges for the one replaced. It is their cock-up, he said he would log it, but we have zero confidence that this will be resolved anytime in the next decade. Life in 21st Century UK eh?
