I have no problem with handouts as long as they are used for the purpose they were made. How do you feel about subsidising these utilities companies with your taxes as you pay for their profit margins, since you mention 'handouts', so scathingly?
ExactlyHow high do you expect interest rates to rise to?!

Cash into the bank is wrong in my opinion, credits against future bills was the right way to go.
My neighbour has blown hers already just bought a 58" smart TV, and she is on every benefit known to man.
I guess it's the principle, maybe the interest earned on a few hundred pounds doesn't equate to a holiday in the sun.I happily pay for fuel as and when I use it.
They are not using me as a credit facility.
I doubt they’ll go sky high. The level of personal debt in the U.K. is far to high.Exactly
The facetious point I was alluding to is that Denis will keep his interest and quite rightly so rather than Octopus living off the money in a corporate Utopia.I doubt they’ll go sky high. The level of personal debt in the U.K. is far to high.
I’m doing it slightly the other way to build up a bit of credit for when the other half wants more heating than she needs int’winter. The facetious point I was alluding to is that Denis will keep his interest and quite rightly so rather than Octopus living off the money in a corporate Utopia.
Basically he is telling them to fuck off, and I respect him for that.

How the fuck are people genuinely supposed to pay this? Mines gone from 88 a month to 192 now so I’m in the same area as it going to 300+ which is just fucking unthinkable. Makes me sick to my stomach just contemplating that.Martin Lewis tonight suggesting it might be 78% now, so could be more.
