Just caught the backend of an interview on talkshite with a Dutch journo who claims to talk to Sniejder frequently and he is saying Sniejder will definitely be signing for Manu. Didn't get his name because I only got the back end

Marcel van der Kraan - he's been singing the same tune for a couple of months.....

Well going off that performance id say he is a necessity now, some of our passing was shocking. We need to throw the wallet at W.S and we also need to find a way to keep C.T. very very quickly!!! Dzeko is not a option this year.

Fuck me, one game and the vultures are out already again.

Well, we have only 1 creative midfielder so really must sign Wes or Nasri. Or both.

Lets not single out individuals, today we were collectively sh1te.Whoever it may be,a similar talent to Silva is definitely required if we want to be champions - thats the reality.

From twitter Oliver Kay;
Mancini on reported Sneijder interest: "No no. Sneijder is an Inter player. We haven't talked about him"

When you dont bring on a £38 mill pound player.it shows your not too bothered about the game....

Mancicni was right,we are five yards short at the moment, and united are the more settled..when you see city sign sneijder...city gonna sign nasri comments all week..yes it great we are interested...but its gotta be a little unsettling as well...

But also shown mancinis negative attitude at half time, why did he not bring aguero on...but united are deffo the settled team for me...its all about nest monday night to me...ive had i dont know how many united mates texts...it means so much to them....to me yes it would of been nice dont get me wrong, but i would not of been texting around...

I do think though whether it will be sneijder and nasri we do need more in that middle....

Some new info from the most trusted of sources:

City have been forced to distance themselves from this transfer until they can speak to Tevez on Monday and receive certain guarantees about his desire to leave; that he won't just reject a move to a club outright because they won't pay him a billion a week or whatever. This is separate from the Sneijder deal, I imagine that it is related to having two guys on large wages.

However, the Sneijder deal is very real and money has already been discussed.

The Gazzetta leak was purposeful from the Inter side, and was done to grease the wheels with the fans and not to smoke out any other competition.

Sneijder is very much open to coming to us, in fact he is very much open to go to anybody who will meet his wage demands.

It is worth been optimistic about a deal for him, and we will know more in the next few days. Branca's moving the goalposts in his last two statements should show how real the deal is.

We believe that we will get Nasri AS WELL AS Sneijder, it is not currently an either-or situation.

In a tribute to Tolmie, here's the video for the day:
