Iain Dale is a tremendous broadcaster. A Tory bit a Tory with a sense of decency.
No wonder he wasn't selected to fight for a safe seat.

It's got nothing to do with them being white and everything to do with their demographic, you are either ignorant of this or deliberately race baiting.

You provided a link to an anti-BBC website, there is no context provided for the quotes or what possible motives may be behind them. We can all do that to fit an agenda see below:

Note: The articles are from a certain demographic; that being white men, in a certain age bracket, who hold senior academic positions.

It is uncomfortable when an opinion you hold to be true is challenged, for you it is the BBC has a left wing bias. You don't want to acknowledge that you could be wrong, that it could have a Right-Wing bias, or present biased views for both sides or have no bias whatsoever.

It's this footbalisation of politics which could (and has started to) see the BBC struggle. The creation/rise of alternative news channels (or fan sites) targeting certain demographics, feeding them with opinions that suit their already firmly held beliefs (like the BBC is Left-Wing) is hard to compete with and I'll reiterate dangerous for society.
 
I hope this fucking channel flops hard. We already have a rabid bigoted, homophobic, sexist and racist little England contingent. Sadly it will probably do well like Fox News in the states that milks the bible-bashing gun-toting loons over there

Listen mate, and this is the last time, how the fuck is repeating what BBC staff say is race baiting? Plus, because they say something you don't like the first objection port you sail into is that they've said it because they're white,
which demographic are you on about? If that ain't 'Race Baiting' I don't know what is. Like many on the far left anyone who's had a first class education and happens to be white, they immediately become fair game for your race baiting and the insistence to adhere to divisive identity politics.
Marr and Co. said this, I know it's difficult, but they did, if not, the publishers, and there are many, would be sued, because it's a criminal offence.
Referencing the little read indy, and some obscure left wing comic which gives its opinion is funny.
Why, after seeing this new channel, do you immediately say any support of is racist driven? It's the last thing on most folk's mind but you lot, having no
relevant counter to the reasons it has for doing so, start from the gutter and stay there.
You're also pissed off, like losing every election for donkey's years, that the populace looks like they will support it, at the expense of the Beeb, and you
don't like that, so, revert to type, and it's all about racism.

As OfCom has no jurisdiction over it that's the one to look out for. No doubt based on the Trumpian "news" channels in the states.

Probably charging £25 for a repeat of him doing his Brussels speech.

I pointed out (albeit sarcastically) that the opinions were all from wealthy, white men, over the age of 60 (I didn't mention they all appear to be either Oxbridge or privately educated too). They fail to elaborate on what they mean by left-wing, for all we know women having the right to vote might be left wing ideology to them.

You've missed the point again. I provided links to those articles (both by white men who have had a first class education, as you seem to care deeply about this) to prove that that the left happen to think the BBC leans more towards the right. Both sides of the political divide seem to think it favours the other. It's like Liverpool and United fans arguing that the other receives preferential treatment in the media.

I don't think I stated that any support of this new channel is racist driven. It's ideologically driven, and in my opinion it'll most likely be a TV version of the Daily Mail, stoking fear and anger amongst it's viewers. You only have to see who they have recruited/recruiting to know that is their M.O.

The last part of your post just confirms the tribalism that has infested politics, it's always about a side winning and the other side losing, surely as a society we either win or lose together. If this is how you see it and your side is currently 'winning' then why do you come across so angry....It's like City winning a game but being angry the other side were incorrectly awarded a corner.

The Brexit shambles and +100,000 deaths due to the mishandling of this pandemic indicates that Britain as a whole is losing, and that rests at the feet of the Conservative governments responsible and in some part to those that voted for them. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
 
looking forward to watching this - presume the world of JHB and Young will be devoid of Covid-19 and associated deaths so maybe there will be a travel section explaining how you move there - it will be a "bring your own Union Flag" party of course and when you get there you will be asked why did you move there when Covid-19 isn't killing anyone - working title for the location is Narnia

I would like to be proves wrong on my assumption GB News won't be a Gammon News Network. However Neil ranting about cancel culture before it launches makes me think I'll be proven correct.
 
The people announced to have shows would tend to make any normal person think this will be a rognt leaning, propafandwr tool.

Unfortunately dickhead celelbrities comingput calling for it to be boycotted just plays into it's and AN hands to promotes itself as the honest news staion that tells you the truth.

People are mpre and more fed the line beeb is a woke (can we notgo back to the term "right on" was much cooler) outlet feeding government hapf truths and pther news is lying to them, slagging this off before itnhappens os going to fuel interest and peope watching it.


Should have just been ignored or given little interest and to be left sat between HKN and Al Jazeera past the point where no one searches their digibox/freevoew channels anyway.

I see there is the devastating news that Darren Grimes has failed in his bid to land a job on GBNews despite some pretty impressive arse licking of Neill. Instead the gig has gone to the public school educated posh boy Tom Harwood forcing Grimesy to have to move back home to Durham to live in his mams back bedroom. Serves as a warning to all those red wall seat voters - Brexit Tory will use you until you are of no further use then simply abandon you.

I do hope he employs Carole Malone ( Julia Heartless-Bitchface on steroids ) as she will fit right in ........ right being the word. She exists by feeding on hate - a nice helpful caring world would see Carole self combust.....
