i tried flushing my dns and it told me "the requested operation requires elevation". what that means god knows. i'm on google chrome for the first time and i can log in no problem. it seems to be ie with the problem.

That means that you need to run the program as an administrator.

Is this a home computer or a work one?

I'm having problems staying logged in.. It seems everytime I open a thread it logs me out, and I have to log in twice just to post this, also having to clear all cookies before each log in, even thou I have selected the always log me in option.

I'm on a mac if that makes any difference?

Have you flushed your DNS mate?

home computer

Press WinKey and R together, type in cmd, press return, then type ipconfig /flushdns
If it comes up again, try these methods:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/02/17/how-to-open-elevated-command-prompt-with-administrator-privileges-in-windows-vista/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/02/1 ... ows-vista/</a>

Board is running warp speed now.

Great work and many thanks Damo.

i edited my above post. seemed to fix it without knowing what i did

It sounds like the DNS record is taking a little while to get around, it's ok, it isn't your fault and only a DNS flush MAY fix it.

I actually did it myself when me and Ric were installing the server, I changed the cookie domain to the new one instead of the IP and locked myself completely out of the board, to much hilarity.
