Conservatives already banging the Johnson drum.
Lowest turnout in the last 5 elections in that constituency, I think.About the same turnout as 2019, I think. Winning with 18k, 16k last time.
If the prediction of old mining areas voting them in you could well be rightI think there will be a lot of people who used to vote for labour. Those people then voted conservative because of brexit and are now voting for reform
Makes a change from them fiddling with their staff.Tories fiddling the boundaries.
Yes, so only every second person bothered to vote, how could the others not?Somewhere around 25% of the vote by my mental calculation. Frightening. And just over a 50% turnout, which is depressing.
They don't like being called oiks. Simpletons is OK as it has too many letters for them to understand.Looks like a lot of the oiks and simpletons who were conned by Brexit, and conned by Johnson, are now happy to be conned by Farage and Reform.
Based on that one result:Reform are winning the vote from former Labour voters who turned to the Tories under Johnson. A lot of them still see it that they were betrayed on the their Brexit vote and that Farage could deliver it, or at least talks a good game.
That's of the total electorate. Only just over 50% turnout.Reform.13% of the Sunderland vote, disturbingly high.
