There's a split geographically as to where peoples votes went. In the predominately remain areas, labours vote went more to other remain parties (and the conservatives went down too). In leave areas, conservatives went up. There tends to be a greater concentration of people in the first group. That's why overall, the conservatives didn't actually get that many more votes but won a significant amount of seats. It really was a collapse of Labour from both sides.

Pretty much what I see.

Yes it ran on anti-immigrant, anti-eu platform. Used to be the platform of the far right. Now it's mainstream Tory.
What was anti-migration about the Conservatives policies?

Is the reason you hate them so much because you only see what you want to see? Being anti-EU was once the mandate of Labour in the 70's/80's. Did that make them far-right?

Because Torys are experts at getting messages through to people. Labour aren't.

Most of the Labour leadership wanted Brexit but people are convinced they wanted to stop it.
Nothing to do with a bloke who doesn't know a terrorist he doesn't like, with a self declared Marxist
insurrectionist as deputy, and a manifesto drawn up by economic lunatics?
Nah, must be the Daily Mail.

Pick your fucking dummy up you slapped arse. If you’d not all spent months calling everyone thick racists before the Brexit vote you may have not lost that vote. Ignoring them since has cost you this. We’re the thick ones though eh???
Well said mate, that post is the most poisonous, deluded, bag if shit I've ever read... Even dead people worked out what a vile, self serving, arrogant twat Corbyn is..... He would have broken this country into a million pieces, thank God us thick bastards stopped him in his tracks.... !!!!!

The most important issue for Labour is how they get out of the grip of Momentum. Only then will they change, that's if they want to.
Exactly so, it is the contrived instrument of the reactionary hard-left used to dupe the gullible into a mass membership organization controlling the NEC & CLPs in the interest of the big unions.

It isnt in question that Corbyn etc are rubbish.

Yes, it is.

Of course Brexit was the biggest issue for them. But it would be terrible folly for the loony left to try to kid themselves that Brexit was the sole problem.

Of course, Corbyn is toxic to many people, most perhaps.

Of course the electorate are not happy with wreckless levels of spending, borrowing and taxation.

Of course people understand that we need businesses to be successful and shitting on them is going to make everyone worse off.

Of course the country as a whole is more right wing leaning than it was in 1970 and OF COURSE policies from 1970's Labour are not what people want anymore.

I doubt they ever will, not with their 700,000 £3 members.

Decent centrist Labour MP's need to walk away from the party and form a new one, along with centrist Labour members sick to the back teeth of Momentum.
