How was he anti-migrant and anti-EU?

He negotiated a WA with the EU. That shows support of a relationship with Europe. Not wanting to be a member of the EU does not equal being "anti-EU".

Did u not read or see anything during the election period?

He wanted no deal and could well yet go that route. He was in the Times saying for too long Eurpean migrants have treated this country as their own.

The size of the majority was always the unknown factor especially as no one knew whether tactical voting would have an impact. Tory share of the vote is a couple of points up on 2017 it just translates into many more seats than 2017 because Labour regressed.

Fumble did say Johnson would win and did say Corbyn would be the reason.

I was wary of hope, when the polls gave a glimmer I posted them to rattle, but anyone with a sense of perspective and a bit of history under their belt, knew which way this was going.

The more challenged among us think respect for a democratic mandate means you have to agree with it's outcome, that's a nonsense, I do not agree, this country has made a fundamental error and the least able will pay for it, but we've been here before.

On a personal level I'm alright, I'll go back to my twin loves of City and frantic onanism.

It's still a fucking disaster though.

But surprising didn't swallow the "money forest, free tuition fees, trillions for NHS, billions for WASPI, free broadband, for the many not the few".

Strange that, isn't it. You mock the electorate that 24 hours ago you were previously canvassing to vote in the way you wanted...

Before they were "smart, decent", now they've not voted how you want they're "gullible".

I'm not a corbyn fan and didn't like his manifesto at all. I just thought Labour as a whole was better than what the Tories have done to the country over the last 9 years.

Yep, talk of cuddly Boris using his numbers to hold back the frothing Europhobes is bullshit, I'll give it to the spring for the first sighting of the word "betrayal".

Yeah but it won’t matter as the new intake will feel beholden to Johnson and will toe the party line no matter what. The size of the majority means Johnson can do what the hell he wants for the next few years and he has the gift of patronage. Want a Govt job? Then do as you are told. It does also mean Johnson can pursue a hard Brexit and total rupture with Europe but then you have the potential for trouble in NI and Scotland and economic impact on seats newly won so it comes down to what is more important, retention of power or purity of Brexit?

Genuine sad thing was I walked into work today to be met with a massive foodbank collection ready to be picked up, this shit better change no excuse for it Boris.

You're right, problem for Boris watchers, is that despite the fact he's been a high profile politician for yonks, it's almost impossible to guess what the fucker will do. We've had liars in No 10 before, but never one where duplicitousness was their defining feature.

“The trees kept voting for the axe as because the axe was made of wood, the axe convinced the trees he was one of them”

Yes I did, but you've clearly misunderstood Johnson's "no deal" position.

It was a bargaining tool to the EU; "Negotiate equally or we will leave without a deal, something neither you or we want, but I assure you, we ARE prepared to do it". Johnson wants to leave with a deal, he always has wanted to leave with a deal. He just didn't want no deal taken out of the negotiation proceedings because what that said to the EU was "we can keep negotiating for years... it's not like you'd leave without a deal now, is it!"

You've also misunderstood the meaning behind that quote. It speaks to those of us who sees the EU as 28 independent, sovereign nations, not a singluar nation with no borders. What he's effectively saying is that there are some European federalists don't see the UK as the "UK" but as merely a part of Europe, completely indistinguished from their own, an attitude he disagrees with as someone who celebrates national diversity and individuality.

But no, you saw it as "Johnson hate EU migrants!". He doesn't, he disagrees with the attitude with those that think that the EU is "One", not "28".
