Disappointed but not surprised. I didn't like Corbyn but I hate leaving the EU even more. I just don't understand how leaving will benefit anyone. Adopting a purely neutral stance here to learn more, then maybe I'll accept Brexit more, but what positives will leaving have?

As I see it:

It's bad for science as there'll be fewer smart scientists coming to work here from EU countries, plus we'll lose a lot of the EU science funding. As a country we paid in a lot less than we got back.

It's bad for the environment because we lose a lot of EU habitat and conservation directives that protected wildlife.

It's bad for business as it'll make import and export to Europe harder and more expensive.

We may end up having to import US meat which has far less stringent animal welfare and chemical content rules.

Away from Brexit, the Tories haven't pledged strong enough climate change targets or to plant enough trees.

However, I think they'll be better (of an admittedly terrible bunch) for defence. Corbyn's admission that he would "never use" our nuclear deterrent negated its existence. It's threat has kept peace in Western Europe for over 70 years.

So, what are the positives of Brexit? Who benefits?
Ask the questions by all means but are they relevant now?

The Tory Party - another 10years in. Job done

Terrible isn't it.

That's why i don't understand those gloating over a Boris win. This stuff, homelessness, a&e times, crime etc won't get better.

No it won’t. It’s not rocket science to point out that re-electing the party that caused the problems certainly isn’t going to fix them. It won’t even register.

Disappointed. Thought people would wake up, smell the coffee and realize why after 10 years of Tory rule their living standards are worse.

How? He was anti eu and anti immigrant.

Even had his minions saying they would look at the licences of channel 4.
He wasn’t either. He was pro Brexit to appeal to those that wanted it over with.

But I’ll never persuade you. I just hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised now he doesn’t have to cater to the DUP with his sizeable majority.
