Why do various media outlets keep calling it a majority of 80? It is 39. Still comfortable, no doubt, but why the need to over egg it?

We as a nation have a strong history of protesting, FPTP will never represent all the peolle and such a figure as johnson will always be protested about.

And tbh that is pretty tame, I remember the poll tax riots being very combatative.

Though it is telling that recent protests have been quite civil and the police have been non combatative, tonight, probably under orders the first response was to draw battons and an agressive stance.

Not seen that since thatcher.
Thatcher, Thatcher , Thatcher, Give it a rest - just another result the oh so indignant anti democratic mob won't accept.

What does it say about me?
Like a handful on here, you've had your eyes tightly shut and your fingers in your ears about the level of antisemitism in the Labour Party. Yet as soon as someone calls it out, you're worried. And no doubt if Corbyn had been the one with an 80-seat majority today and had instigated an investigation into the media who'd been his main tormentors, you'd have been punching the air in delight.
