Or Corbyn does by not doing the same?

Why do you expect the LibDems to bow out in certain constituencies and not Labour?

Why should she allow through a party she disagrees with?
Well in a deal of course Labour step aside in Lib dem / Conservative seats.

It’s basic math as to why it should be the LD’s that step aside. If seat numbers were reversed i’d argue the opposite to stop Boris.

So which is it, Mike?

A) A worthless threat and therefore nothing to be taken seriously, so WTF was all of Labour's protestation about, about removing any possibility of their being a no deal Brexit? Are you suggesting it was all a sham?

or

B) There was indeed a very real threat, and that's why, faced with the prospect of a PM threatening it they decided to open up the WA, having absolutely steadfastly refused to do so.

Would you like your cake, or would you like to eat it, because you cannot have both. My view is that it is very obviously B. If you think it's A, then let's hear it.

A or B. Or weasel words? I won't hold my breath.
I tend to go with the fact that Johnson was prepared to go with No Deal because its in him, he has ran his whole life doing some shocking things and getting away with it (not my words Rory Stewart ex tory MP). He actually doesn't give a fuck about anyone apart from himself how many men do you know who could be married for 25 years have 4 kids whilst having multiple affairs which produced 2 more children.

The second part is down to luck than judgement in the fact that Junker was leaving and he would just wanted to get the job done. You would have to be deluded to think that it was down to no deal that it pure and utter bullshit.

Johnson's deal is no fucking great achievements its May's deal with the Irish border moved down to the Irish sea along with a shift to the far right so that a there can be a bonfire with employment rights, and other standards. Its not even a polished turd its one that's been shat to get rid of the smell yet still given the emperors new clothes treatment.

Great. So you'll be pleasantly surprised when with the thread of No Deal again in December 2020, the EU agrees to a very palatable FTA. Everyone's a winner.
I think that we just have to wait and see what the GE result is.

But from a supporting Brexit POV - a Conservative working majority with the party 'purged' of MPs that will not follow the party line will make things very interesting.

If that ideal outcome were to occur then we could see some really effective negotiations

It has always been true that:

"We will not see movement from the EU unless and until they face the genuine threat of a No-Deal outcome and the political will to use it"

The last months have proven this beyond doubt.

The UK would benefit if FTA negotiations are undertaken with the EU having to at last face off against a UK that can act free of being undermined at Westminster

But - we need the majority...…

I struggle to think how people can be sure without seeing a manifesto and even more so the fact that 6 people have ticked the Brexit Party at the top of this page where they only know what one policy is.

How in the hell can you decide to vote for a party that you only know one policy for?

Democracy, innit.

This is a view held by so many

Where I live - in the SE - there are so many Remain supporters - who will be voting for the Conservatives.

The threat posed by Corbyn/McDonnell is seen as far more real and damaging than the 'potential' of Brexit.
The area of the country you refer to is irrelevant for the purposes of determining the outcome of the GE; as are, I suspect, the demographics of the people to whom you refer.

Happy to amplify. Based on your posting output on this thread you come across as someone who is largely incapable of viewing things from the perspective of others who do not share your viewpoint. That would suggest, based on my perception, that it isn’t your “strong point”.
I'll preface everything with "I take your point but.."

Why should the LibDems not go for it in every constituency if they don’t agree with Labour or the Tories?

There’s a level of rag-like arrogance from Labour supporters towards the LibDems, it’s a sort of ‘how dare you try and take our votes or undermine the dear leader’.

I don’t like it, despite me not being a LibDems supporter.
