Precisely my point. Labour should have carried on growing the surplus from 2002 through 2007 in order to cope with the effects of a recession. Instead, Brown arrogantly claimed that it was the end of boom and bust and started to spend more than he had, when relatively, he had an awful lot. Labour essentially made the recession a lot harder than it had to be.

No that wasn't precisely your point.

Heart wrenching if you live in the real world, ie britain, not so if you are an ignorant tory boy who thinks everyone should be able to pay their own way and there is no poverty, no food banks and we are all realky really well paid. You continually demonstrate all that is wrong with this country and i would guess you voted leave to keep them foreigners out and you probably play golf and like to post puctures of young boys? There have been quite a few pages posted today - which one has your acceptance that I was right about the implications of this new poll that identifies that the diehard Remainers are now reduced to 22%?

Did you go as far as actually apologising for jumping in and implying that I was not telling the truth?

I have only had a quick look but could not see your post and I am sure that you would have taken time out to admit when you are so clearly caught out being wrong - you would not want people thinking that all you do is deflect.

Oh - and as we all know that unless you hear it from the Guardian it cannot be true:
