Anyone planning on getting the remastered Skyrim who played the original? I've never re played a game before and i put a lot of hours into skyrim, just not sure how much i will enjoy it when ive done it all before. It does however look incredible. Im presuming there is no new game play included?
Reading the comments on that video, it seems like the remaster is for the console version and the PC version was modded a long time ago. Perhaps that's why I didn't notice a difference, because I've already got the one with updated graphics?Looking forward to the remaster tbh. The mods alone will make it a huge improvement for those of us who's computer struggles to run even 10 year old games. The graphics are clearly a lot better and I never bought the expansions, so those alone probably make up the £30 it will cost to by the remastered version. My other half has been playing through Skyrim again over the past few months and it's been eating at me, it's an itch that needs scratching ASAP
I think from memory i preferred Oblivion as the main story line in Oblivion seemed much more fundamental to the game which Skyrim didnt have. I loved Skyrim for its atmosphere and landscape and sheer size, but if i remember rightly (its probably 5 years when it came out) the main story drifted and like you say the game petered out a bit. I loved all the guilde side of it and some of the side missions, much more than say Witcher 3. Also thought the way you build your charachter and aromour / weapons was much better than Witcher 3. Some of these games though do tend to blend into one another. It doesn't look that much different to me. I just finished the original a few weeks ago. At least I think I did. My main criticism of the game is that it just sort of peters out as you gradually run out of things to do, and so you end up with a really powerful character with loads of great abilities, long after there's anything important to do. That and the writing is shit. Good game, but massively overrated imo.
Graphics wise the PC version is a bit redundant as everyone has modded it to the same level already, but for consoles it's a huge difference. Same goes for the mods, they'll make a huge difference for console gamers but are already available on PC. I'm pretty sure the remastered version is free for PC owners as they'd have a tough time selling it, as I don't see much it offers that can't just be done yourselfReading the comments on that video, it seems like the remaster is for the console version and the PC version was modded a long time ago. Playing Battlefield 1 on PC and wow they have nailed the atmosphere of the war. You really feel like you're fighting in the trenches with shells going off a few feet away from you.
Anybody able to recommend a decent graphics card? I managed to play the BF1 beta with my old GTX 660 but only just.
I've been looking at this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sapp...-pci-express-rgb-graphics-card-gx-37b-sp.html
but there is so much choice out there at the moment,I'm a bit out of my depth.
GEForce GTX 1060 3gb. 200 quid and all you will need.

I'm off travelling in three weeks, finding it really hard not going to go buy it. Do I, don't I?
