General Videogame Thread

Outer Worlds for sure.

Made by Obsidian who made Fallout New Vegas. Great story and very funny. If you've played New Vegas you'll know what to expect. Not an open world as such but you visit very different worlds and choices absolutely matter.

Assassins Creed Odyssey is really good but it can be a bit too long and its pretty repetitive.

Divinity Original Sin 2 is fantastic. Thats more of a D&D high fantasy game very much in the Baldurs Gate mould and its turn-based combat. The learning curve is steep but the actual world, Voice acting, gameplay and quests are up there with the best ever. Check out the reviews, most people agree its the best RPG of all time
Cheers, love the sound of Divinity original sun 2 and just had a look and looks stunning. Could be the one.

Yeah its brilliant, The first area of the game Fort Joy can easily take around 40 hours to complete. Like I said it has a steep learning curve but once you get to grasp with mechanics you'll get lost in it. Would start off in explorer mode just to get a feel for it and my only tip is get the pet pal perk which lets you talk to animals as soon as possible! If you need help without spoilers this website is really good and has a really easy way of explaining things

Quick question for the experts on here:

Am I correct to think that for 21/month I can get a brand new Xbox series S, with ultimate game pass over 24 months?
it seems a bit good to be true as the pass gives me access to over 100 games AND the EA catalogue!
is it worth it for a casual gamer or should I wait for the Series X to become available (god knows when). I only really want to play flight simulator and the odd driving/sports game as well as Netflix etc.?
The series S is currently available at game uk.

£503.76 over 24 months for the console or 24 months.

£10.99 for gamepass subscription on it's own. But can get it even cheaper if you manage to get a console on it's own and aren't fussed about paying upfront instead of finance options.

£40-50 for a 12 month card to xbox live Gold bought through a greay seller like cd keys or an official retailer like argos. Plus £1 to upgrade after you have loaded up your cards and 3 extra months.

If you have used gamepass before it is £10.99 to upgrade and you get one month additional.

27 months Gamepass for between £81 and £101 vs £253 for the finance option.

Thanks mate. That sounds a lot better

Restarted No Mans Sky, what a beautiful game, just repaired my ship and will take off to space soon, from the videos I’ve seen it just endless, so I’ll see where it leads me.

Tried to play it on a couple of occasions. The second time I cracked on for a few weeks but just couldn't get into it.

Same, I know I'll like it because I did have a nice save which I lost, and on several times have done the first hour or 2 again, but that bits a grind when you've done it a few times. Think I need to spend a solid day just getting through that first bit.

Im back to work in 3 weeks after 3 months off with a very broken shoulder and nothing to do besides boot up a console, I've managed to fully finish Skyrim again, 90/95% completion of both GTA5 and RDR2 (I don't think I'll ever have the time to fully finish both), Sleeping Dogs fully finished in 18 hours, FF9 and FFX complete.

I'll never have the time to play half of the titles again with intensity but it's amazing how much I've enjoyed it when I've not been able to enjoy a whole lot of things.
