Had a few hours with FM26 and it does take a bit of getting used to of you are a FM veteran. Things are in different places and the UI feels very intrusive.
Also odd that, as far as i can tell, there is no easy way to switch off mens or women's teams, you have to select and deselect them all individually, which is a slight problem for anyone wanting to run lots of leagues and only interest in say the men's game, as unless you work through the settings individually you've having to sacrifice processing power for more obscure mens leagues in favour of having the women's leagues in play. It has a workaround, just not intuitive. It's like insisting that you have to load every European league in previous version of FM, when you only want certain select ones.
City aren't actually that great on FM26 which feels weird. Nico o Reilly is light-years behind skally at Arsenal, Tijani is a championship level player and Cherki doesn't quite seem to have ethe ceiling he has in reality.
But the match engine is an improvement, previous tactics don't fully work and , once there are a few quality of life fixes, it could be a good restart of the series.
That said, I have just gone out and bought Age of Wonders 4 with the money saved from dropping my humble choice subscription, so I will be on that more than FM I imagine.
