Generally do city make your life better or worse?

I may be a bit thick, but how can it possibly make our life worse.

The roller coaster ride that comes from supporting City makes our lives richer and deeper.

If it makes your life worse, then just give it up. And if you can't it goes deeper than the shallowness of 'worse'.

I would not give it up for the world. (Although I nearly did the Pearce season when I didn't see us score from December to September. (I know we scored Jan 1st and then in August but I was on holiday both times!!!)

I've been married to Mrs Ed for 26 years and at times it has/is a love/hate relationship. I first saw City way back, when Colin Bell played for Bury, in an away game at Gigg Lane, and it's been the same sort of relationship ever since! Without City I'd be lost, I just love my club, simple as really!

When i was quite young about 5 my uncle took me to Maine Road it was V everton if i remember correctly. Anyway we went sometimes with my dad ( he worked a lot of weekends). I remember then being about 12 was a mad city fan and got my first season ticket. When my uncle got it for me he said. "Look you could if you want an easy life and empty success support our red neighbours...but i promise you get everything at city, the highest highs and the lowest lows , but you get everything. Now do you want a pale empty red life or an interesting facinating, frustrating, blue one."

Not better or worse but Everything , I made that choice then, 40 years ago, and i would make exactly the same one again today!

You take the flack but hey you're proud.
We are city so shout it loud.

God I love my club :)

This.

better or worse? what kind of question is that?

it's an obsession, it's supposed to consumer you. frankly, any concern for our own well being would just get in the way.

it's like a disease, in the way that richard dawkins thinks religion is a disease.

when it makes us happy, that's just a way for it to sink its claws deeper into us.

Citymad, do you take thee Manchester City as your beloved football club, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish from this day forward till death do us part ?

I DO

I know pronounce you man and football club.

* cue tears, claps and lots of laughter*

without the lows that city have delivered with regularity over the years - the highs wouldnt be what they are.

The relegation to the 3rd gave us wembley and then the blackburn win. I wouldnt swap those for anything.

Those little islands of joy in a sea of under achievement are what make city the joy they are.

Id rather have what weve had than years of mid table mediocrity.

We love you city, we do!
