Such a great moment for him, a moment most of us will have dreamed of ourselves. I hope he can go on to make many more appearances for us.

Always something special about seeing a local lad make his debut, so many congratulations George, especially given the standards we now have it is no mean feat. Lets hope there are a few more chances this season.

Gary, I hope you included Micah's first interview in your history lesson on what not to say to the cameras if you score!

Well done George..From the handful of EDS matches I've seen he's always stood out..I genuinely hope he makes it here but if not I have absolutely no doubt he will be a very good professional football player

Buzzing for the lad

Shame he only got 5 minutes or so at 4nil we could have given him a few more but oh well, hopefully we progress in the competition and get to see more of him

With both Fernandinho and Yaya unfortunately the wrong side of 30, no reason why he can't push to replace them in a few seasons, even if it is only in a squad role. Very tidy player

George in the under-8s (third right)

From the story on the official website!

I think somebody needs to go to specsavers!!! ;-)

im praying and hope he's given a fair shot and establishing himself in our squad. How good would it be having a local city fan in the team having come through from the u8s. Training with the likes of ya ya every day must improve his game.

The first of many hopefully, think he came through with George Glendon as well so hopefully he gets a go as well. Great achievement for him.

What a story for the lad. The first ever City player to make his way up from the Under 8's (EIGHT's) to the first team.

If that doesn't deserve a thread of its own I don't know what does.

"The best day of my life" he's quoted as saying in a post match interview tonight.

Well in blue, knuckle down and here's to many more.
My colleague used to play cricket with (before city banned him). Remembers George 12 year old making his debut and going into bat telling my 42 year old colleague to take it steady nothing to rushed. Says he's a great lad and good cricketer to boot.

Yeah I think a few of us on here had the same one, he's living it, lucky lad, and compared to you and me, probably getting paid shit loads for the priveledge, even if not a lot by footballer standards. Like I say I'd love to see him become part of the first team, for just those reasons.

For once, I would love to read a positive piece about one of our players without it having to include ANYTHING about his pay packet! there is a lot of money in football and the young lad is doing quite well. Can't we just leave it at that and leave all the proletarian pay envy out of it?!
