having watched 13th last night, utterly educated and appalled at what has happened in America and is still happening but what the fuck are you trying to prove by going back hundreds of years in this day and age? Ive lived in Africa for nearly 5 years, married a South African and traveled extensively, seeing first hand the state of governance and the influence China is now having financially and politically as it strips what it wants itself.

I tried watching it myself and when they tried to blame Bill Clinton for banning crack cocaine when its banned in every country in the world (with many countries issuing much harsher punishments), I had to turn it off.

The above has what to do with American born African Americans or more to the point, institutional racism and a culture of violence in American Law Enforcement?

Believe it or not im in almost total agreement with you on the subject of this thread and having watched 13th last night, utterly educated and appalled at what has happened in America and is still happening but what the fuck are you trying to prove by going back hundreds of years in this day and age? Ive lived in Africa for nearly 5 years, married a South African and traveled extensively, seeing first hand the state of governance and the influence China is now having financially and politically as it strips what it wants itself.

You, literally, asked me about Western influence in Africa...

You, literally, asked me about Western influence in Africa...

I didnt mate, i replied to you claiming it and then did so again as you said current influence.

Anyway, its not for this thread imo as the issue here is too important and on it we agree almost entirely and what needs to change and be done.

Some people on a demo get out of order and all of a sudden you no longer give a shit about people being murdered by the police?

Which means the police think they can carry on doing it which then leads to even more trouble?

You reckon maybe you are part of the problem?
No mate. I think you are a tit and trying to put words in my mouth that I didn't say. Standard.

Enjoy it with my thanks. I am sure you deserve it

Yes Bert, thank you for what you have tried to do for many years. It will be interesting perhaps to hear your thoughts at the right time. I bump into a fair few retired coppers whilst doing my vintage aviation bit and to be honest few have much good to say about todays Police force. Its quite worrying really but having heard what some say I am not surprised at the weekends events.

And unless those people say 'yeah, I must contracted it at the protests', you can't quantify such a statement.

They may have contracted it before or after attending.

So you agree that some of those at the protest may have had COVID-19 then.

Thanks.

And whilst I get that, it was a really windy day from what I could tell.

Surely lessens chances of contraction even more?
Why would wind make contraction less likely? Surely the opposite is true, your breath and saliva travel further on a windy day than on a still day

I can’t believe people are saying they’ve lost all respect for the movement after the scenes in London. It was a small minority of people being violent, and the other protests around the country including Manchester were peaceful. It’s almost like these people are looking for a reason not to support the movement.
