I'm getting a strong vibe you don't like police.
I said in an earlier post I was senior officer on when a colleague was shot. I also worked with a colleague that was murdered on duty.

But back to this. I will apologise if my original post offended anyone. It was meant to give a more rounded response-I was constantly frustrated to see young kids in custody, often v bright, who were wasting their lives getting into violent crime and gangs. I would try to speak to them, show them that under a uniform I am no different but as I also said, by the time they come into contact with the police it's often too late. That was my point about wider more nuanced issues rather than race.
But it's also easy to find footage of Duante Wright waving a handgun around in a car playing the big I am. Now at some point somebody in his life needed to put him straight on that-people can jump up and down and call me all names under the sun but I stand by that. It's doesn't mean I support right wing bigots or justify the tragedy that unfolded.

I think Berts being Bert, understandably given his background but I feel it’s a bit miss placed but to presume guilt and a death penalty and try and justify it ? Really ?

But you miss any accountability or responsibility on the part of Duante Wright. You are supposed to comply with the law and the instructions of the officer-that's kind of non negotiable. You don't get to simply say, I don't want to be arrested, I'm legging it.

But at no point have I justified a 'death penalty'. I'm saying comply with simple instructions-that's what being arrested means. It would help amongst all the noise that somebody in a position of power and influence actually said it-because all I can see is people justifying resisting arrest as if it should be an entitlement.
