Germany v England | Nations League | Tues 7th June '22

Kane's linkup play is only actually a benefit if the other players on his team have some composure. Without it, he's dropping deep to get on the ball in less dangerous areas, popping it off to a teammate and then it's getting lost before he gets forward.
I agree with you, his link up play is excellent and cannot be faulted. But Mount and Saka were so poor, they did nothing literally. Sterling on the left, just to accommodate Saka, it is poor decision making. I don't get this hatred and mockery for England and Kane here at all. Just don't watch it and don't write on the board if you don't like it.

Southgate’s obsession with Mason Mount is super weird. Picks him without fail even though he has never had a good game for England. Starting to think he’s actually his dad.
To me, weird means quirky, different, but in this case it's seems to be just simple negativity. He sees Mount as more combatitive than a creative player like Grealish, not realising that having the ball and creating, keeps the ball away from your own back line more frequently than just 'trying' harder (apparently)
Southgate is tactically very limited and negative by nature, I expect an early return home, after a dodgy group qualification.

Kane was definitely off-side before tripping himself. Luckily the VAR monitor started after the ball reached him.
Apparently not offside because it was deliberately played by the german defender. But I agree that he appeared to trip himself up
