Getting a GP appointment

In lockdown I was working and talking to nurses and paramedics so I know what was going on, I didn’t say I was the only one paying but in oldham every time I go in it certainly seems like it.
Theres anew drug coming out for fat people now to lose weight, so that’ll be another cost and excuse for people to do what the fuck they want because the tax payer will fund their excessive lifestyle.
If you could reference more recent documents than 2017 you’d find paracetamol is no longer available on prescription in England.
But then that wouldnt suit your rabid nonsense would it?

I had a bike accident about two years ago and was taken to A&E in an ambulance. Probably didn't need to be but the lovely fella who stopped and helped me insisted I be checked out.

Was given a box of free co-codamol in A&E despite saying I'd be more than happy to pay for it. I thought that was crazy. Wonder how much the NHS spends on stuff like that to give away unnecessarily every year.

Heaton Moor doctors today -

Rang at 8am, someone rang me back at 8.30 and I’ve got an in person appointment at 11.30.

Can’t really argue with that to be fair to them.
Got a same day appointment at my GP yesterday. No complaints about that at all but the fact you have to phone at exactly 8:30 and keep redialling until you get through seems a bit antiquated. You can’t even phone during the day and book ahead for non-urgent appointments. They told me that there were some available to book online but only for certain services, and when I checked it was only for smears, which aren’t really much use to me.

Dunno, I could do with a refresher on proper arse wiping technique, the mrs keeps moaning about having to clean the sheets.

Still waiting for blood test results from 3 weeks ago.

Coincidentally so was I until this evening. Well not quite three weeks. Maybe a fortnight. But I was in the library earlier, which is in the same building as the doctors, so thought I’d try the old fashioned way and just go and ask them in person.

Sure enough, she got my info up on the computer and said.. yeah the results have been back ages, you’re fine.

Not sure when they’re going to get round to emailing me the results as they said they would.

I found that if there are no irregularities they don’t bother contacting you. Doesn’t stop you worrying and ringing the surgery to check though does it ?
