so far its 99.9% clear he will leave PSG, and loan aint an option as he has 11 months left on his contract. PSG want to get some fee at least now.
honestly only three clubs than can pull this off and may need a top keeper. (assuming Ederson off)
us, Chelsea and rags.

Barca, Real, Atletico, Bayern, has good keepers already, Italian clubs wont afford Donnarumma salary, Liverpool is ok GK wise, Arsenal too. no one else left apart from Saudis but he aint going there at age 26 yet.
Can t he go on loan to Girona for a season. Then when Ed leaves he can join us.

Let’s be honest, if he signed the extension and City wanted to sign him (we’d probably have no chance and if we did 70-80 million would be the price).

This probably gets done at 25 million and then he will be worth 50-60 million and be valued at the most expensive keeper.

Now that in itself doesn’t mean we should or a deciding factor, but it does show that this could be a very good time to do this deal.

So knowing Ederson is doing one more season at most, it gives the opportunity to do something.

The risk, is obviously the wages and that he will be our number 1 or a very expensive mistake.

People point out what if Trafford shows to be the better keeper, one person indicating the club would be delighted as it means Trafford has outed one of the best shot stoppers in the league.

I see this, but also not too sure it would be that great as it probably means his stock has fallen, he will be unhappy not playing and no-one else would pay his wages. I don’t think it’s ideal.

We would probably be buying and selling Trafford next season.

It’s obviously the club call but I understand both sides of this and could see why the club would or would not do this.

Why? Would Biden not have signed Cherki and reijnders?
I have no clue, knowing his liking for "seniors" characters, Biden would probably resign Kun, Merlin and Yaya.

I said Trump because our transfer ins and outs and Peps increased proclivity to fall out with players is getting ridiculous, to me at least.

PSG play better football than City do. Fast possession based football. That was the Pep way. We stopped last season because there were no defenders and the wingers weren't good enough anyway.

I don't buy this Donnarumma can't play for Pep. I have loads and loads of people say this. But that doesn't make them right.
I I think everyone knows the style Eddie plays and donnarumma can't. Donnarumma is way better in other aspects obviously.

But psg are getting rid of him for a reason.

I still think Laurens is being very nice towards us considering all that, especially on ESPN. If all 'City haters' talked like him I wouldn't even mind them anymore. He gives us high praises when we deserve them instead of going 'bbbut what about the charges?'.

Here in France, RMC Sport, the most listened-to radio channel that covers football, has a show every Monday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. called "Funny Ladies" that covers football in the four major leagues: Johann Crochet for Italy, Fred Hermel for Spain, Polo Breitner for Germany, and Julien Laurens for England. And every time he talks about City, he talks nonsense and even invents unfounded rumors. Once, it was Pep who didn't like KDB. Pep doesn't respect KDB, the two men don't get along. City will face severe sanctions for cheating in the trial of the century. Pep is finished and has to go. City paid a lot of money for Reijnders (a consultant corrected him and told him it was a very good price given the quality of the player).

Here it is last February when he said that nobody watches City on TV, it is not a team that makes the ratings, it is more Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, the presenter Gilbert Bribois was very surprised and shocked could not believe it

Here is the excerpt from the show:

I had to send a message to the Bluemoon account, the Twitter account of City supporters here in France, to point out the nonsense of the Parisian Arsenal supporter. Anyway, I don't know what he says in England, but here, he is constantly negative about Manchester City.

He could have a good song though:

Looking for some shots stopped baby this evening, some shots stopped baby tonight, looking for some shots stopped baby this evening, even though you can’t kick the ball to save your life’.

Good points.

I'm of the view that if sign Trafford it's pretty shitty to then go out a week later and buy a worldy.

But considering the rags need a keeper that does put a bit of sauce on it.

Chelsea is a good shout to be fair

From a PSG supporting French football expert - I think the ideal scenario is Ederson sees out his final year.

And yst without him, PSG wins fuck all last season. If a City keeper ( say Ederson in his prome) pulled an "I want out" move like Donna did, I can see a City journo writing a similar post.

I think its more spite than fact.

Courtios, Allison and Donnarumma are the 3best goalie's in world football.

I cannot mind having 1 of them. I do not get the opposition.

That's a lazy comparison TBFH.
It's not lazy at all.. he was judging a player on the basis of the awards and titles he has won. Football is a team game and invariably the success of a goalkeeper is partially about the strength of the defence in front of him and how much he's called upon to do. This was shown last season in our case by how poor our defence was and in relative terms what a poor season Ederson had. In the case of Donna' he has won the Lev Yassin trophy once. Martinez of Villa has won it twice Would you sign Martinez on that basis. Also look at the award itself . He has not ben featured in the top three since 2021 yet Ederson has been in the top three three times since then. Let me be clear Donnrumma is a good goalkeeper but he ain't all that

Agreed, how must Trafford be feeling knowing he might not even be our number two keeper if Donarumma signs. There's no guarantees that Ederson goes or Ortega for that matter
If Donnarumma signs Ederson and Ortega will go. Even right now Ortega is definitely gone. And if he stays, he'd be an EDS player.

There are CL restrictions that will force our hand. It doesn't matter what happens, Trafford will at worst be #2
