Dunno what a capalogy is, but I'll take your word on it.
The reason I asked is because I read an article stating that if eddie leaves, he would be going to Turkey for a raise, and his new salary would be about 7.5M, which is over 140k per week.
Article could be rubbish.
Never heard of this capalogy lark

I don't know what capalogy is either, but I know what capology is and it's another area of expertise the game could do without.

Put the Trafford thing to one side, it’s obvious he was never going to be number 1 this season and was being signed primarily as a capable passport. It solved a problem in the squad in that it gave us an extra overseas player space. He may or may not show the level needed to be our number 1 long term and if he doesn’t we can flip him again and get our money back.

It is a big change for Pep because Donnarumma can’t use his feet. Seen some stuff about him and crosses but Ederson has never been that commanding goalkeeper you can’t rely on him to come and catch or punch a cross either so I don’t think there will be much change with regards to that. Ederson was MOTM for us in the CL final but that game aside there aren’t many stand out moments when you look back over his 8 years here and think how the fucks he saved that. Donnarumma saves you 10 points a season specifically in that regard imo. I would argue with regards to forwards going through 1 on 1 or deciding how and where they’re going to hit it that only Donnarumma and Allison in the prem would really get inside their heads with their presence and ability to save what appear to be certain goals.

We are swapping edersons ability with the ball for Donnarumma’s shot stopping ability. Once you drop below Edersons once in a life time level of ability on the ball, virtually all other keepers in the world are either reasonable with their feet or not very good. Whichever the level, to play for City as no. 1 imo if you don’t bring Edersons on the ball ability to the table you have to be best in class level for keeping the ball out the net. Watch Donnarumma from last season and ask yourself how many of the saves he makes are guaranteed goals had they been vs Ederson. Pep tried the bravo experiment, he was pretty reasonable on the ball but in his first season it literally felt like any shot against him on target was a goal. Imo this is him and Viana simply saying our defence is currently shite and likely to concede several chances every game and if we are losing Ederson we want the best available at keeping the ball out the net given all the chances we concede.

He made more mistakes that led to goals in all competitions last season than Onana.
I didn’t see the stats for last season, which is why line only went up to 2023-24, but that’s not a good sign.

I’ve seen Ederson make 2/3 errors in a game too! Come on you go looking for faults in a player is what a not city fan would do! I’ve just checked all his world class saves and penalty saves because as a Man City fan I want to look for the positives for one of the best goalies in Europe!

A club like ours one of the best in Europe you don’t go into a season with Trafford as number one goalie and you buy a goalie that slightly worse as your second goalie? This isn’t like a club like our will be run!
Donnarumma is a keeper I’ve always had a chuckle about whenever I’ve seen him, apart from the odd game where he seems to have a Joe-Hart-White-Hart-Lane-2010 performance, saving everything.

I’ve literally said a few times when I’ve watched him; ‘people moan about Ederson but I’m glad we’ve not got this bloke’.

I’ve never understood how he’s rated so highly.

He hardly ever comes for crosses and when he does he’s out jumped by 5’10” forwards who beat him in their air with their head even though he’s 6’4” and can use his arms. He’s a right flapper.

I think the last time I was adamant I didn’t want a player was when we were linked with Pogba in 2017 or whenever it was. I don’t want Donnarumma.

After all the hullabaloo of yesterday, has anything happened today?

All the talk of Galatasary wanting Ederson is apparently mostly Gala briefing the press, no bid has been made.

City will only move if Ederson leaves, but the price has to be correct.

If the price of him and Savio are not met, neither will move and we go into the season as we are.

I went out with woman called Donna, I bought he a Doner kebab, and she did a runner on me.

Sly Stone writing about City.

He’s bound to have shoehorned United into the article, which I haven’t read yet.

Manchester City sources are describing reports they are currently in talks with Donnarumma as speculation. They haven't completely ruled out a move - should City's current number one Ederson leave - and sources at PSG say they would not be surprised if that is where the Italy international eventually ends up.

PS. I was right, halfway down the article.

The facts are the facts. He's won a Euro with Italy. He's won the CL and a quadruple. He's won multiple Yashin Awards as the world's best keeper. He became a starter at AC Milan as a 16 year old. Did you watch him in the knockout rounds of the CL v Arsenal and Liverpool? I could not give 2 f@#ks what PSG are doing...
For pities sake what do awards mean.. look at what Paul Pogba has won.. would you sign him on that basis
