Sadly mate, it’s a British disease. It starts in school and ramps up the further through school you go, it used to pause a little at university, but likely doesn’t now, and it really kicks into gear when you go to work.
It’s part of the reason the country is now constantly failing at almost everything we try, and often why our national sports teams are not the envy of the world.
It infects the NHS, government, as previously mentioned schools (although much less private schools, hence all the tossers we keep having running the country), this forum, of course, and huge aspects of our lives.
It is, of course, the inability to work out and then focus on what people can actually do, as opposed to relentlessly focussing on the things they can’t do. Drives me fucking mad…
