They played the other week at the arena a couple of blocks away from me. Downtown was a sea of blokes 65+ in a uniform of scruffy white hair, black ELO t shirts with dandruff-covered shoulders, snowwashed jeans and white Costco trainers. It was quite eerie. Like an episode of Black Mirror.Final tune up before ELO
Bunch of old cunts at the hotei
I’ll fit right in apart from the dandruff, Magicpole claims the site hair but I have the sweaty coveredThey played the other week at the arena a couple of blocks away from me. James and Johnny Marr at the same venue next Thursday
Remember stopping by Piccadilly Recorda then later the little cabin off Market St to pick up flyers for upcoming events at places like the International 1 and 2 and the Academy years ago. There were also always a few places will bill posters for upcoming events. M.E.N. also used to have gig listings for main venues.I see Bruce has just announced shows at Co op and Anfield for next summer. Well, I say Bruce, I mean Live Nation. The same company who are apparently kings of the dynamic pricing, which this artist has wholeheartedly agreed to use in the past, so the sales process should be ‘interesting’.
What strikes me is we’ve lost the feature on old ads posters & flyers which as well as featuring the dates featured a published ticket price too. That’s one thing that would be quite easy to legally introduce I’d like to think please Kier; just insist ticket prices are shown in advance.
Anyway, seems an odd distribution of dates, just 2 Manc and 1 Liverpool, though tbf he has missed NW England recently I think.
I’ve never had chance to see him play an indoor venue so I am slightly tempted by Co op, though I recall last time in the rain at the Etihad thinking he was way past his best, and that must’ve been 10 years ago …

One of the best bands around in my opinionWe saw Yard Act on Monday night. Excellent show.
The singer is a great frontman and the whole band sounded tight.
A pair of female back up singers/dancers brought a whole new element to the act.
There's tons of bands playing Toronto right now. We are away for the summer and said that we would have to miss out. We decided to make an exception and do the 7 hour round trip to see them. One of the best bands around in my opinion
