There's tons of bands playing Toronto right now. We are away for the summer and said that we would have to miss out. We decided to make an exception and do the 7 hour round trip to see them.

Saw Eivor at The Academy 2 on Friday, something a bit different than normal.
What is it with people at the bar talking very loudly throughout a gig? So disrespectful. Much better when loads of the crowd told them to STFU. Proper winds me up.

Unfortunately it’s the look at me generation. I’m at a gig even though I’m not going to watch it. I try and avoid venues with bars on the side like The Ritz or Albert Hall or at least get there early. Winds me right up.

Are Catfish and the Bottlemen a big band? Noticed they are playing White Hart Lane and Heaton Park next year. Dont think I know one song by them.
Over 1 billion plays on Spotify, so pretty big. I think they were popular with a youngish crowd. Probably few of their fans were alive in 1988, never mind being at the Millwall game.

Off to see Peter Hook and the Light at the Parr Hall on Thursday. 15 New Order 15 Joy Division. He was good the last time I saw him but it was a few years back.

Saw Kishi Bashi here on Monday night. Always a great show. He’s an insane talent and it blows my mind that he remains virtually unknown. I saw he’s playing at the Academy on Oxford Road next month. I thoroughly recommend seeing him.
