sad to see

wow BFB's wemberlee shirt sold by the man himself for just under a grand

City should have bought it and stuck it in the museum

hope so

I'm well over half way through reading David Mooney's book and can say its a damn good read. Enjoyed the players recollections of not only the Gillingham game, but plenty of other games throughout that season too. A great read for anyone who was at Wembley.

We had some good players with guts and soul, who were moulded by Joe into a proper team. They were the foundations and catalyst from which everything else followed, and for that we should remember them fondly. The Goat, Dickov and Horlock are fondly remembered in particular. However, in my opinion we should erect a bronze statue of Morrisons thighs outside the Etihad....he was the man of the time who dragged us all up.

Very sad to see and i'm gutted i didn't see this sooner. I would have bought this to add to my collection which includes Andy Morrison's shirt from the same game. I hope it has gone to a good home.

we have the privilege of having wembley 99 and etihad 12, not many fans have such rollercoaster emotions, we are blessed in the football world

No.

It was not a privilege to see City in the 3rd division.

It was a disgrace.

We are doing OK now.

If it was a disgrace then it was our disgrace, and not only was that season character forming for us, it is something that is still talked about by neutrals to this day - our famtastic support at home and away most weeks; sometimes wish we could generate the same passion these days. Going to buy this book - tried at Waterstones Altrincham on Saturday but they said it was not in stock?

Just ordered it off your site Dave. One thing I have often wondered about but never read - who was going to be our 5th penalty taker had it been needed?
