Yes it is but thats not the point here, a young girl has been savaged to death by a pack of vicious out of control dogs, iv just seen an MP on the BBC say that the people killed by dogs in the UK is in double figures since 2007, that is too many and these look at my fuckin big vicious dog numptys who patrol Britains streets in their droves need bringing down to earth with a bump

And what was that figure?

For all you idiots that keep claiming dogs are just bloody wolves I'm going to point something out to you.

A Chimpanzee is over 99% genetically identical to a human being. That tiny variation in DNA though is the difference between Einstein, da Vinci, Mozart and something that wants to pick its arse and fling shit at you. So please stop trying to make out all dogs are just wolves lying in wait and are always ready to kill you. As your just making the situation worse by perpetuating fear as that is something a dog will pick up on.

Morning all. Interesting thread. As you know I posted on page 12. It was an upsetting day yesterday at work however you know something having slept on it I feel a lot brighter today.

Dogs are not the problem. The problem is the owners who are in a way of life which they deem it appropriate to have themselves these types of dogs as they see them as a status symbol,a type of look at me I am hard because I have a pit bull,bull mastif or any other dog that is seen as to be aggressive.
The problem arises however when these incidents,albeit quite rare,occur.
All dogs are then labelled as vicious etc etc when in reality it is the owners of dogs who beat them,train them to fight etc who are the problems.
Put it this way,I know cops who went to this job yesterday and genuinely frightened that they were going to be mauled.

Just to add on to that this morning on the news they're saying that this women was actually a breeder. She was also advertising these dogs on facebook as being breed to be deliberately viscous/nasty. So she is exactly the type of person that should never be allowed to own a dog in the first place.

Dogs became domesticated at least ten thousand years ago. They maintain a genetic link to wolves but behaviourally they are millions of miles away.

Nail on the head there Challenger. Too many scrote wankers are chucking out litters of pitbull/staffys to make a few quid. The health and upbringing of the pups is the last thing on their minds (at an age for the dog that is most important in its development).
