i think moving the away fans to 110, 111, 112 and 210, 211, 212 is a lot easier logistically.. it just means moving the away entrance/exit down a few blocks.

yeah can't be that difficult!

I think block 210 will be corporate next year so not given to away fans. But they could still have 6 blocks in that south east corner.

Said it before and I'll say it again, SWAP THE KIPPAX WITH THE AWAY FANS, Keep everyone together but shift them to the left and shift the away fans to the right

-- Fri Feb 18, 2011 3:10 pm --

I don't think it'd work. The fact the away fans are there triggers a reaction from City fans. Move them and the singing section/south stand would feel lost, IMO.

Maybe put away fans along the top tier of the South Stand, and City fans across the bottom tier. The top tier isn't very deep, a bit like the away section at wolves (though not as bad), so they'd struggle to create a top notch atmosphere. But Im of the opinion that losing the away fans contribution would lose most of city fans contribution

How about City fans top there, away fans bottom tier, screw letting the away fans throw shit all over the City fans

This still gives people the oportunity to be next to the away fans and if the club are thinking about generating extra monies, then the away fans moving into these areas will increase ticket prices for travelling away supporters but then give the opportunity for people in other areas of the stadium to move to a cheaper area i.e. the south stand.

I agree we need the whole south stand!

Has anyone got contacts at the club to make them aware of this?

Seems the's a lot of people wanting this and it just seems common sense to do it.

Swapping the positions of the Kippax singing corner with the away fans would cause minimal disruption because you could do a straight block for block swap and be on the same row with next to the same people just a few blocks to the side. This avoids the problems that happened with the North Stand last year, and away fans are still very close to the car park.

Personally, my favourite picture of "one end"

Poznan - This being closest to what our "One End" would look like!

We can only dream.

Yes we can move away fan's from where they are now.
Just because we happen to have a coach park where it is does not mean
they have to go in that corner.
What is to stop us puting them in the top tier of the East stand.
Dedicate one spiral tower to them.
Or as Blue Eyes suggests split them on two or three levels.
This would certainly silence their chanting.

Get rid of the idea that they cannot be moved.

Have Newcastle not just moved away fan's from one corner to another.
Think about where Coach park's are at grounds you have been to.
The Swamp is across the bloody Warwick Road.

I agree that moving the away fans can easily be done.

I don't think we should put them out of the way though. In the corner next to our full stand of vocal support would be best because it helps get the atmosphere going.

Couldnt agree more PPM + the notion that moving the away fans a few blocks away can't be done sounds ridiculous

It can't be done because of the current layout of the stadium. All options have been looked at by the club. It is in essence a dead duck.

However, if the stadium was expanded then it can and probably will be done. But only then.

The club are aware of the clamour for this to happen from the fans. And I'm sure they'd like to see a Kop styled end at COMS as well.
