Immaculate Pasta said:I have read many posts on here in the past and spoke to many people about the current arrangement at Eastlands with the away fans. At Maine Road we had our wonderfull Kippax. A stand that was our own, a stand where many of us watched our first City game in and a stand where that "famous" old Maine Road atmosphere was produced. At Eastlands our magnificent ground we have a few blocks and thats it. Like i said above i have seen many posts on here and spoke to many people outside this cyber world who all agree that we should have the whole of the south stand full of blues singing passionatley. The forthcoming cup game v Forest presents another problem where they will be given the whole of the south stand and the heart of the Eastlands atmosphere will be split up to accomodate these away fans when after 33 years of sod all, it should be us that is in theSouth Stand doing our best to cheer on the lads to Wembley. So after a few people PM'd me i just thought what the hell, we'll set up an online petition as an avenue where we can all show the club how much we want it. I don't like to call it a petition because we are not demanding anything but it is the only way where we can all voice our support in one place.
Cast your minds back to May 2008 when the Uefa Cup final was held at Eastlands. The atmosphere was electric and the ground looked superb - full of colour and noise and generated by the Rangers fans who were all together in the North Stand. Theres is no reason why we cannot replicate that in our OWN ground.
As the old saying goes "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" so if you do agree with all of the above and the message in the link i will give you below then voice your support and sign the petition. Theres no registering or giving your e-mail (that is optional allthough it does add weight to the campaign) all you need to give is your name, if you don't want to display your full name then just put the first letter of your last name so instead of John Smith put John S.
If you don't agree with any of the above or the message in the link i will give you below then that's fine. If we get a few thousand blues supporting this then great, we can show the club that we would like this to happen. If we get 200 supporting this then it is obvious that the few people on here and the folks i have spoken to are in the minority but like i said "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" so lets give it a go.
So if you are in favour and support the idea of giving Eastlands it's Kippax, then sign the "petition" below.
