Global obesity 1 billion

The BeardMeatsFood, featured on the Moons Youtube Watching thread, demolish 20 large slices of high quality bakers cakes in just one sitting, which has to be 10k calories, and not so much as a sniff of BMI badness surrounds his aura.
Perhaps he eats next to nothing the rest of the time so that his calorie intake balances out over a period of time. I sometimes have a few days binge and follow that with a few days of severely limited calorie intake and manage to stay around my ideal weight.

Probably not a healthy way to go about things though.

He does, he pretty much fasts in between his food challenges.

Most of the competitive eaters are either rake thin because of a medical condition or they work out A LOT.

Always thought of them like worms, whilst they are eating it's curling out the other end.

The crazy thing is if you want to make easy meals just get a slow cooker. Bang the ingredients in first thing, by the time the kids get home from school you can have stews, chilli, currys. At the opposite end of the scale, a stir fry with fresh ingredients takes less than 15 mins is inexpensive and full of veg, most of the westernised Chinese sauces are dead easy to make.

Im pretty sure most of it comes down to laziness and a couple of generations of not learning basic cooking skills. I wouldnt mind but there's thousands of videos on YouTube showing you how to do it, its not like the old days of a recipe book where you had to read and understand it.

One thing that does irritate me however is how outrageously expensive fish is in the UK. Half the problem is that unless its Haddock, Cod, Salmon or Tuna people wont buy it so it gets sold abroad.
Good points. But one thing I'd add is shelf life. The amount of fresh food that gets thrown out is insane, whereas processed food generally lasts a lot longer. Nobody's ever thrown a packet of fish fingers away, but everyone regularly throws a bit of veg away because the supermarkets insist on putting everything in a packet or bag nowadays, so people buy more than they need.

I can cook reasonably well when I've planned it in advance and been to the shop to buy stuff. I'm not so good a few days later when I've got a collection of random crap in the fridge that's about to go off.

I still fit in jeans I had in my 20’s.
Been a 34 waist forever.
I subscribe to the eat lots of red meat, drink lots of red wine take lots of drugs diet. It’s a belter.

The gout can be a bit of a **** though…
My mate has been on that lion diet for 6 weeks . He's lost 15 kgs and won't shut up about it . Like a born again Christian vegan loon. Steak and eggs three times a day

Shocking figures. I have no idea how people let themselves get in such a state. I personally don't respect anyone who can't look after their own body.

Stop buying processed shite and get some exercise!

Sounds a bit like the original Atkin's diet. Not sure it's the healthiest (or cheapest) but it does work.

Not sure eggs are supposed to be included on the Lion diet though, having just read about it.
