Friend of ours has had that condition for years and it has not stopped her from doing anything.

If you read the review, the blame lies fairly and squarely on both the council and the police as neither followed agreed protocol and neither followed up on concerns.
But why not blame the family eh!
The girl was in care and her mother was dead. Effectively MCC were her parents.

And if you were able to follow the posts I put forward, it was in response to a tweet about why an ex detective wasn’t happy.
I think you may find I didn’t mention the HMIC finding or why the police are in special measures.

However two linked damning reports in less than 12 months aimed at GMP suggests that something isn’t right and that something ought to be done.

Furthermore comments on the 2019 review are accurate and the way it was handled was much worse than shambolic, it was criminal in my opinion, at the highest levels of both police and council.

I am not in any way justifying the findings of that report-it is quite clear there have been huge failings in their crime recording. And that is why the CC has gone and he won't be the last of their COT to be removed.

Fair enough I hope you are OK now. Doesn’t hide the fact that he was probably using it as an excuse to go missing though. You can bet that he has used it to enhance his pension by getting extra service years added for health reasons.

I 100% guarantee you that he hasnt. He had done over his time by 2 years anyway

I suffer from labrynthitis.
When I get an attack I cannot see, I cannot move except crawling on my hands and knees to throw up in the bog. I cannot keep anything down, even water. The nausea and vertigo is dreadful. It can last months at a time.
So your friend is very lucky.
Perhaps better to talk if things you actually know in future.
