Goalkeeper situation summer 25

Club will have candidates in mind as always to cover these eventualities. Not got a clue what will happen tbh.
 
Who is currently the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment? That’s who we should bid for. At least try, why not?

Having said that I’d rather we could persuade Ederson to stay.

Bento (25, Al Nassr)
Bart Verbruggen (21, Brighton)
Julen Agirrezabala (23, Atletic Bilbao)
Mile Svilar (24, Roma)
Franco Israel (24, Sporting)
Luiz Junior (23, Villareal)
Lucas Chevalier (22, Lille)

Is the names that immediately jumps out of the page if you search for goalkeepers under the age of 25. Of those Diogo Costa has never impressed me outside of his distribution and obviosly saving penalties. Have watched Verbruggen for Brighton and I'd say his distribution is a level below what we need unless the coaching staff think there is enough to work with there.

Those of you that watch loads of football, who are the obvious ones?

Makes more sense for Eddie to leave, his head just isn't on it I think the Saudis turned his head and if his head isn't on his passing is poor and if his passing is poor his shot stopping is exposed

Ortega isn't good enough though to be #1, but maybe can be kept as #2

So yea, deffo need a new #1
 
Ederson isn’t arsed so let him go.

Pep will want a keeper great with his feet so Ederson 2.0. Not sure I can identify one but there’ll be someone in the Kosovan league or similar who the scouts will pluck out of the sky.

Pure “stops the ball going in the net” wise Flekken at Brentford is the best keeper in the league imo. Always has a top game everytime I watch them.

Keep Ortega as number 2.

Fuck Carson off and get the kid from the youth in as number 3.

Who is currently the best keeper in the world. Or at least the beat under 25.

Bravo was a great goalkeeper at one stage in his career, a good La Liga starter for most of it.

The lad he is talking about got laughed out of Turkey, is benched behind a complete clown at United and managed to concede directly from a corner in one of the few games they have dared to give him
