A lot of talk of both Ederson and Ortega leaving, so we maybe looking at at least 2 new keepers and 3 if Carson retires. If Ederson wants to move , let him go and get Suzuki or Trafford

Some pretty different keepers judging by how they're performing this season, although that could be at least partly due to different team styles.

The Trubin guy looked pretty crap against Monaco.
I think this is one where it might take us a few goes to get it right. Very big boots to fill if Ederson goes.

There is no clear best keeper you can go for though. It’s his first season in a top league and he already has this stats. Can only get better. He reminds me so much of Alex Williams in terms of style, he parrys a lot and gets lucky, from what I have seend of his highlights I would leave well alone.

Pep will always go for a keeper good with his feet, that is why he let Joe Hart go before he even got a gameI'd like a good shot stopper and one capable of catching a cross.
I don't particularly care if they are good with their feet.
You might not but Pep cares a lot, and most fans understand as long as we have Pep or even similar it’s essential they are good with their feet.I'd like a good shot stopper and one capable of catching a cross.

I know its probably an essential for Pep but when I look at recent CL and PL matches, the top keepers that are playing well are regular match winners of their teamYou might not but Pep cares a lot, and most fans understand as long as we have Pep or even similar it’s essential they are good with their feet.
Shot stopping he'll be easy to replaceWe’ve been spoilt by how good Edersons been for us, he will be very hard to replace despite how some go on about his shot stopping.

Ball at his feet: almost impossible.
They'll never been an Eddie but the market has never been better for getting a keeper of that mould imo. Cant see us having the Bravo issue and cycling through a few in quick succession again.I'm not totally sure that's the case. Agree about the shot stopping aspect though.
Ederson has been a game changer in how keepers are perceived, and just as Pep's influence has spread throughout leagues and more teams play 'his way', just as many teams now require a keeper who is good with their feet.
None of those teams would consider a Joe Hart, but because of that, there aren't as many around who are poor with their feet - at least in the age bracket we'll probably look at (maybe 21-25?).
Obviously there's different levels of 'good' and Ederson has been exceptional. But there will be decent options out there that I'm sure we'll be aware of.
We’d have won half of what we’ve won without him. He’s the reason we can push full backs and centre halves into midfield so easily and effectively because he’s an 11th outfield player and we outnumber everyone we play every week. We’ve been spoilt by how good Edersons been for us, he will be very hard to replace despite how some go on about his shot stopping.
I agree. I feel like he’s become a victim of his own success and the hunger isn’t quite there. Perhaps a new City is what he needs, a squad full of players who want to win. We’ll end up signing a keeper for £50m and he won’t be half as effective as Ederson. We’d have won half of what we’ve won without him. Ederson is only just coming into his prime. I’d be after keeping him for 5 more years if possible, there’s nobody as good for us as him.
Just needs to get back in form, refocus, forget about Saudi Arabia and rejuvenate himself here in Manchester.
