Going Through Lights On Red

When I'm driving in the local area (Leve/Burnage/Fallowfield), there isn't a single instance when I don't see a driver run a red light. It's an epidemic. Don't get me started on cunts texting on mobiles when fucking driving.

Good luck to your daughter, is the blue light for ambulance driving or Old Bill?
Paramedic. But police instructors do the training.

When I have occasionally gone through a traffic light fractionally late, there's usually two other cars behind me who blatantly go through them. Van drivers are the worst for it.

Saw a cyclist on Deansgate who not only went through a red light while the traffic on the crossing road was flowing, actually edged out until cars had to drive round him and eventually had to let him go across. No doubt he'd be claiming if he got hit by a car.

The load I go with all stick to traffic signals rigidly and those that dont are cunts

That is a massive generalisation.
A fair proportion of those that I see, don't. I'm not talking about a majority here (maybe I should have made that clearer in my earlier post), but a not insignificant number. Say, 15-20%. If the same percentage of other road users did the same, there'd be carnage. And people would, rightly, be calling for stiffer penalties.

I think we can all agree that some cyclists are irresponsible, and some drivers are irresponsible. Both groups need educating.

Totally agree. They hardly had any in South Africa. When I got to a junction over there I just closed my eyes, put my foot on the pedal and hoped for the best. It worked for me.

I sooned learned when driving after dark in the Johannesburg area that you go straight through every red light you encounter. Not because of some misplaced bravado but because there was always a chance some prick with an AK-47 was hiding in the greenery of the central reservation ready to carjack anyone who was foolish enough to stop.

My niece married a south african and he said he never ever stopped his car at night, not even for the police. His dads 7 series BMW had flame throwers on either side of the car as an optional extra.

Greengate roundabout in Middleton is a fucking nightmare must hold the record for most sets of lights in such a short distance

Aye, car jacking is a very real risk in Joburg. A mate went to pick his parents up from the airport there late at night. He got carjacked with the guy holding gun through window. Took everything he had including the shirt off his back. He told me he got a taxi and greeted his parents in his shorts.

Fines raise revenue and 'awareness' courses provide employment.

And there is always a ready supply of poor drivers to keep both going strong.

As the OP on this thread I don't think I'm a 'poor' driver, just an average one. I make errors of judgement occasionally and, on occasions for whatever reason, I'm not as good a driver as I am at other times, maybe that's distraction, state of mind, maybe lack of concentration, I'm not sure, but I defy anyone to honestly say that's not the norm and that they drive perfectly all the time. So the reality is, there is always a ready supply of drivers doing exactly what most other drivers are doing who happen to get caught whilst making the odd mistake.

You've taken your eye off the ball again, Urmston's moral compass is so fucked he could find his own arse if it was pointing at it.

As the OP of this thread you should own up to being done doing a red light. Nobody does one and then stops and gets done, it cant be so. Brakes, speed, time, distance, etc. You did a light and got done. No drama, just dont blag it
