Re: Goodbye Mario?

I am going to miss that crazy motherf*cker <3
He may have been mental but he was ours, and he had some truly awesome moments with us and always thanked the fans for our support. Wish him well, wish he was staying, a case of what might have been really. He could still be something special, seems not with us though.

Re: Goodbye Mario?

all jokes aside I cant see him demanding too much on this 1.

Very happy personally to see him go, nothing short of a joke at the best of times - I've still not forgiven him for that pointless high foot against Kiev which cost us when we should have progressed a few years back!

A very fair assessment.

Completely. He finishes it with 'his time will be remembered fondly' or something like that.

It certainly will by me. It's just a shame that many of our own fans have descended into utter hatred of him. Many are balanced, but some of the comments are OTT for a player who really hasn't been THAT bad.

He is just the ultimate marmite player, clearly.

Re: Balanced Piece on Mario

I read a comment from a Rag somewhere recently saying that, once Mario leaves, Mancini will be able and willing to spend all of his motivational energy on his squad rather than just on Mario. As a result, the performance of the Man City team will almost certainly improve...or words to that effect. The Rags evidently want him to stay, if only for his disruptive influence to the squad.

That doesn't make it inaccurate, it makes it a less than perfect survey, but it was a straw poll if anything. We're not talking a highly complex survey here with millions of pounds spent on it.

As for the specific questions you asked.

1 - In a classroom in or around Preston.

2 - Unlikely given it's an entire class.

3 - Why does that matter? The reason why someone likes a player (own choice/parental influence) isn't really a factor here, it's a simple "pick a player" question.

4 - Obviously, for an all inclusive, fully rounded survey you need a far larger group of participants from all sexes, creeds, nationalities etc. But, as previously mentioned, this wasn't an experiment, or really even a full survey, it was a straw poll.

Nice to know our kids today are having their lessons interrupted by teachers conducting straw polls whilst reading Blue Moon in the process.

No wonder we are turning into a nation of morons who can't even hold a pen.

I can take the jokes about music being a lesson some of you were not interested in and casio keyboards but Tolmie I need to answer you back.

I was taking an IT cover lesson where the teacher had had to leave the lesson due to hearing some family news he had to attend to. I was there whilst the pupils were finishing the work set and packing up - the question was asked at the end and took 30 seconds.

I have planned all my lessons this week so yes I was guilty of sitting in a lesson that was not my subject looking at bluemoon for a bit - just was interested in seeing what was happening with Mario.

I hope that is ok with you? You seemed to be a little upset by the whole thing

You may wish to bring this up at your next Teacher training day just to check your Head is ok with it :-)

apparently breaking news City have agreed a fee with AC for Mario......
...but Mario has not yet agreed personal terms. His request for Euro 250K per week tax free, an unlimited supply of fireworks and a brand new Ferrari every season has not gone down too well, apparently.
He also wanted the new Milan away shirt to be camouflage (sp.) !!!
...and a Get Out of Jail Free card.

Re: Balanced Piece on Mario

That picture on the headline sums up Balotelli.
Players looking on in disbelief, curiosity and bemusement.
Coaches looking like they want to kill him.
Mancini and Kidd just not bothering to acknowledge him.

4 reds and 23 yellows too. Not good.
A goal ratio of just under 1 every 3. How many were penalties?

The press conference at Milan will show him wearing an Inter top ;o)
