£20.5M is a good deal - if true
Cracking deal if true as we only paid €22m for him allegedly. That would be an £11/12m profit in the accounts.
Would you be our family accountant, please. Amazing arithmetic.
For a family as financially illiterate as yours it would be a (very lucrative) pleasure. ;-)

We paid £18m (€22m) on a 5 year contract for him 2.5 years ago. We amortise (write off to the P&L account) 18/5 (£3.6m) every year meaning we've written off £9m to date. This makes his net book value £9m. We calculate the profit on the sale price less net book value so if we get €24m (£20.5m) the profit we show, regardless of how Milan finance it, is £11.5m.

Re: Goodbye Mario?

There is a slight irony in that the press who have ultimately pushed him out will be the ones who miss him the most

How have the press pushed him out?

His misdemeanors have been higlighted to an extent he is given unfair treatment on the field

Re: Goodbye Mario?

Will be sorry to see him go. Bags of potential but we only saw glimpses of it.

Good luck for the future Mario

If true what has he actually contributed at his time at the club?

A Derby goal celebration that will still be shown in a hundred years and the assist for the greatest single moment in this club's history.

That'll do.

yep

will be interesting to see if he can fulfill all that talent elsewhere if he goes
He won't, and in time people will look on from here and wonder what all the fuss was about, especially when his replacement, (whoever that may be), is contributing massively to the team.
That's right. Massively so.

Re: Goodbye Mario?

Mrs Underpants just got sky Italia website up, hes going today, hes said goodbyes to everyone at Carrington this morning after training.
He knew he was going yesterday thats why he had a party last night.
I went training ground about 1pm it was very quiet no press or anything hanging about/
Stuart Brennan coming on talkshite now with updates
